If JJM can’t develop touch he will be out of the league after his rookie contract. Dude just fires fastballs every pass. He has GOT to learn to throw with touch.

Is this thing STILL on?

No touch or accuracy doesn't bode well. Too many misses on open receivers, even when he isn't under pressure.

I just hope for his own sanity and mental health that JJM can stay out of the news for a while...

Just be out of the spotlight and practice on honing his craft....

Unfortunately today isnt going to help that cause.

I think the QB competition is still going, despite KOC making his pick. But it's Max vs. JJM for QB3 now.

Agree completely. I don't want to overreact too much, but I do think the best thing for him would be to go disappear on a depth chart somewhere for a few years and completely rebuild himself physically, mentally, emotionally. And even then you might not end up with anything. But it might be his only chance. That goal-line out to Price was a gimme that QBs in their 3rd training camp should not miss.

It's got to be so frustrating for KOC. Because JJ's tools are so enticing, you'd much rather see him back there with the game on the line than Wentz, but he can't be counted on to make even the simplest of throws.

Adding insult to injury, we play in Denver next week, where their dickhead of a coach is going to remind us about the 2024 draft.

I dont want to overreact either, but I think it's getting much clearer (for now) the Vikings made the right choice for QB1.

Hope that keeps up for a whole season. 🤞

Man, we might owe the football gods a few pesos;

Darnold in 24 and then they may have given us a do-over in 26.

That shit dont happen often.

Last time I saw anything even close to that was the 49'ers selecting Mr. Irrelevant in 2022.

Trey Lance went for a 4th.

Use that information as you will.

Yah, no way I even consider moving him now...For that very reason and I still have hope a switch is turned on ala Brees.

Adding insult to injury...Bo Nix was available at #10 when Kwesi picked JJM.

Nix had a far deeper resume, better passing stats that got better over six years starting in FBS football. It showed up his first two years.

Kwesi REALLY screwed the pooch by taking JJM over Nix.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.

I think they were more enamored with the traits of JJM vs what Nix brings.. His fit in a KOC downfield/chunk system too.

No love from me for KAM as GM. But the buck stops with KOC on the QB pick imo.

That said, you cant make-up JJM's journey in the NFL so far, and how it has hindered his development.

The reps and experience he's missed is almost unprecedented.

It was definitely traits, they chose that over any floor. Maturity was perhaps the biggest wiff. Coming back last year, when he showed up so under weight, like he didn't work at rehab. The media crap, "9" and then the timing of having his first kid. Now I can't help but watch him on the sideline when he's not playing, commented about that in another thread. Get the feeling he's sitting by himself Meetings between him and KOC have to be cold right now, not sure a PIP is something that is done in the NFL, but that's the vibe that comes to mind.

Has he shown any improvement? An infinitesimal improvement?

And, he’s dinged again. KO wanted another series for him but he’s dinged yet again.
