Okay. I don't live in Minnesota (any more).

Haven't lived there since '76

Followed the Vikings, Twins, North Stars (then Wild), Fighting Saints (when I went to college in St Paul), T-Wolves and lately the Lynx. Not a soccer fan (outside of Ted Lasso).

But this current Minnesota Lynx team. Sc*idt.

I have not been a big mens college BB fan for decades...except maybe the tournament...maybe.

I have not been an NBA follower for at least 2-3 decades (okay, maybe I peek when the T-wolves are in the playoffs).

But the WNBA? These gals are pure. Something about their game.

And yeah, Cheryl Reeves is a helluva coach. But they were supposed to suck going into this season, having their roster blown up (expansion teams) and Napheesa Collier (that gal is...let me be careful here...she is married and has a beautiful child...) is an incredible athlete. But she was gone the first half of this season recovering from not one but TWO ankle surgeries.

So by hook or by crook, the Lynx ended up with the #2 draft pick this year....sorry, but I don't follow women's college BB. And they grabbed this goggle-wearing point guard that made her name at Notre Dame and finished at TCU. WTF?

Honestly, the no-look passes, the between-the-legs dribbles, the behind-the-back dribbles and passes...have blown my mind.

This kid is entertaining. A virtual Sports Center highlights reel.

She is a "spectacle". (Glass goggles LOL).

Sorry, but the Lynx are the most likely Minnesota team to win a championship this year.

Will they? I thought they would the last two years (while kinda/sorta paying attention, but not admitting it to anyone)

That's why they still play the games.

I gotta say...these gals got game...they can play. And they are a Minnesota team.

Heck yeah. I'm all in on these gals.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.

Trans in women's sports is not even fair. Why we are having this discussions questions whether or not some need their head checked. WNBA is relevant finally. Say what you will, many didn't even watch it up until about 2024. I see a lot of jealousy within the WNBA. Only thing I will say on it, people are watching you because of it, some in the WNBA probably shouldn't bite the hands that feed.

And here's a question: what is the deal with weirdos throwing dildos on the courts at WNBA games? 🤔

Really disgusting, I agree.

To me, the WNBA has always been painful to watch. But now it's turned into an angry, woke sideshow. The entertainment is the circus around the game. It's like watching the WWE.

In terms of the whole trans "controversy", I think Cunningham said it best when she says she has nothing but love for all people but that biological men don't belong in women's sports. Why do we even bother with Title IV if we're just going to let men play in womens sports? Let's face it...trans women just have inherent biological advantages over biological women...larger lung capacity, heart, skeletal structure, etc. If its just about trans participation...why aren't there trans men playing against other men if its just about playing? The answer is they wouldn't be competitive.

I applaud Freedom and White for making a mockery of the WNBA's position. They need to strike a balance such that they're not attacking trans people in general. They have been very clear about that so far...but then again...so has Cunningham..and look at how that has been mischaracterized.

The dildos. I don't get it. It just seems childish to me. I think they're trying to mock the league. The league is doing a pretty good job of that all by themselves. Get some convictions for those people throwing dildos and maybe that will discourage it from happening in the future.

The WWE comparison is spot on. The controversy, the muggings, the poor play will continue if it generates interest. These aren't athletes playing at the highest level, they are part of a charade to generate interest in the cheapest way.

Clark is an amazing basketball player, but she is about on par with Lebron at this point, the flopping, whining and facial expressions are make it as unwatchable as Reese and her brick layups and continuing to shoot the 3. I could beat her 1-1 and I am 5'10" and on the wrong side of 50. But it doesn't matter, they have figured out the cheap thrills to get viewership. The pro-wnba crowd (I can thing of other adjectives but will keep it clean) likes the violence and the anger at Clark. They feel justified. But now the stupid boomers are talking about how bad the wnba is because they are keeping Clark down, trying to injure her. They are buying tickets in droves to "protest" the corrupt wnba.

Ringling would cringe if I called it a circus. WWE is the best comparison.

As to Mike criticizing girls for wanting to be housewives? WTF. Can't that be an option for them? Shouldn't they have a choice? Or is it evil to simply think the family is important?
