It does seem like a deepening relationship between the two. I agree. I like to see that. He is also close with Brady, so maybe he wants to see more of that side of it as well. Just a conversation because he sure seems to be getting closer to the ORG.

Who would’ve thought that there’s more job security as an NFL assistant coach than working for ESPN.

Just thinking about Moss's personality, I would say coaching isn't his only option. Could be something bigger in team or player management. He is smart and wise in his ways.

He has certainly matured later in life. There were points in college (early) and even in the NFL when he acted quite immature. But time, age, and lifetime scares (C) can put a level of maturity into anyone.

Be a team and player manager. I could see that. Work directly with the team and just put insight in where he needs. I like that.

I don't know that Randy is interested in coaching, but KOC said he wants him around the team more and is making it happen. I think Moss enjoys his ESPN NFL analyst role. He's held in the highest esteem by former/current players as the GOAT at the position.

From the snippets of video all TC, anyone else notice a skip in the step of the offensive linemen? I think they are very down with this new aggressive style of play and coaching this year. Looks like they are having real fun.

Thursday, Aug. 20

The Minnesota Vikings defense put on a dominant performance over two days of joint practices with the Baltimore Ravens.

That has often been the case in recent years, when defensive coordinator Brian Flores' blitz schemes overwhelm offenses that are still learning their protection schemes. Linebacker Dallas Turner repeatedly broke into the backfield on pass rushers, and on the few occasions when the Ravens got the ball into the end zone, they celebrated wildly. Rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane spiked the ball with fury, for example, after catching a pass in the back of the end zone.

The Vikings' offense, meanwhile, showed it is still catching up after spending the first two weeks of camp in a quarterback competition. Most notably, cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins did strong work against Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, who beat a double team for a touchdown Wednesday but had roughly a half dozen passes broken up as he tried to muscle for position.

Jefferson said afterwards that the offense is making progress and acknowledged what quarterback Kyler Murray said this spring: Splitting reps was an added challenge.

"Obviously [Murray] taking all of the 'ones' reps kind of allows us to get in the rhythm and get into the groove of things," Jefferson said. "And you don't really have to rely on having a catch on both footballs from two different people. So I mean, just like he said, he felt that the reps was a little short and he felt more comfortable having more reps.

"So now he has it and the connection is definitely growing. Work needs to be done, but it comes with time and comes with just coming out here and just working together."

• Kicker Will Reichard converted four of six attempts during live kicking Thursday, with misses from 43 and 52 yards. The Vikings continued to split the holding duties between punters Johnny Hekker and Brett Thorson.

• Safety Theo Jackson left practice with members of the Vikings medical staff after suffering what appeared to be a lower body injury. The team is relatively thin at safety and it has been notable that, even before Jackson departed, undrafted rookie Jacob Thomas was getting extensive first-team snaps.

• Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss spent both days of joint practices with the Vikings, watching from the sidelines and sitting in on receiver meetings. "The information that he has is endless," Jefferson said.
