Day 6 of Vikings camp just wrapped. Not a super eventful practice; a handful of starters got rest days. Pretty even in the QB competition with maybe a slight edge to J.J. McCarthy in team drills.

Rookie CB Chuck Demmings is maybe the best story of training camp thus far. He just keeps making plays, with two more PBUs so far today. And he isn’t shy about celebrating afterwards.

Vikings might’ve found something in the fifth round.

• No pads today, and it was a lighter practice. Tomorrow will be a longer padded practice.

• Christian Darrisaw was in street clothes. KOC didn’t mention anything on him in his pre practice presser, so it was likely a vet day off.
• JJ McCarthy started the day off with some rough misses in the routes on air portion of practice and some fans were letting him hear it. He hit on his next three throws and even had a nice deep ball to Dontae Fleming towards the end.
• Kyler Murray was iffy as well. During the red zone period he missed on a few throws, and his TD was a nice adjustment by the WR. Not a great day from either QB.
• Chuck Demmings has been a PBU machine so far. He’s done it against the 1’s and 2’s. Really showing out early on in camp. He even got chippy with Jauan Jennings.
