OT: Tell me about your dog or dogs.....
Most of us have them.....we love the shit out of them....so tell me about your dogs! π
Our current dog: his name is Trouble and he's a rescue. He'll be 14 years old this year, got him from the pound when he was 4. Pomeranian (booo, hiss, little shit dog!) ....yes, yes I thought the same myself not too long ago. But I didn't know about throwback Pomeranians, that's what Trouble is. So instead of 4, 5 or 6 lbs. this guy is 19 lbs. Its a breed that was originally a Spitz, which is a 30+lb dog. Personality galore. A little badass. They're built like a little sled dog, the bigger throwbacks. Anyway, its obvious I hate the little shit, he's my pic in this forum. ππ
I've had all kinds of dogs my whole life, many have been hunting breeds when I was younger as my whole family hunted everything. So we had Springer Spaniels, Beagles, Labs, Water Spaniels, Retrievers and then a Malamute, dachshund and a poodle of all things.
So let's hear it....
When we started our family many years ago, we had 2 pugs: Winston & Churchill.
They were with us 12 and 15 years.
2 English Labs after that (a yellow and a black) miss them both terribly
After they passed, I wanted one more lab pup b4 I got too old to handle one and we got Wilbur 4 years ago from same breeder.
We were going to pair him with a pug and instead Walter (Pit/Lab/Basset) was found abandoned and so we adopted him thinking he'd be may 40-45 lbs...He was found at 25 lbs and he's 76 lbs now.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!Β
Love Black Labs, last one I got as a pup and was blown away by how many things she did naturally. First time off the dock she did a double retrieve, one in her mouth and pushed the second buoy in. I'm not going to get another, I'm mid 20th century vintage, and don't have the space or energy to give another pup a fun energetic upbringing. Also doing a lot of traveling and hate boarding a good friend. I was truly blessed to have one as good as Nelle, I'll be happy with memories of her.
Too old for a new dog now, but loved the Golden Retrievers we have had over the years. Sure miss having them around.

I hear that...That exactly what I was thinking getting that "one more" Lab pup (Wilbur) 4 years ago...
He's been by my side this whole cancer journey as a bonus and support to me.
Goldens are awesome too.
