Teasley and KOC report to the Wilfs, Rob B reports to Teasley....
So no TOA.....more like the Dynamic Duo. Teasley has last say on final roster. I personally really like this setup as I'm a fan of KOC (phrasing). Best use of the talent in this structure, KOC is the Wilf's golden boy, methinks.
Yeah I am glad that the reporting structure of the three was specifically described by Mark Wilf. Did KOC report directly to the Wilfs when KAM was here-just trying to see if this is a new thing (KOC reporting directly to ownership), or if it already was in place before.
After watching the PC, thought Teasley was ok during the q and a, would have liked a little more elaboration to address the specific questions he was asked. For example, someone asked what his leadership style was, and he answered that he puts people in the positions that they can be successful in (or something to that effect). IMO that’s not really a leadership style, but whatever.
I rarely take in Vikings pressers as they've become so monotone and uninformative, but gave this one a listen. The usual buttoned up corporate speak stuff, not very enlightening other than the notes on who reports to whom.
I can take away that he's soft spoken, pretty direct, doesn't seem to spew a lot of b.s. which makes him like, the anti-KOC lol. It might confirm the stories about how no-nonsense he is behind the scenes. I don't think he'll be in over his head the way Kwesi was. Hopefully it works out for all of us.
I think this is the Wilfs trying to avoid the front office shitstorm that's happened under their watch with the last two GM/Head Coach combos. I don't think Zimmer reported directly to the Wilfs, and I don't think OConnell did either under Kwesi. Now, if there's an issue, both sides have the ability to speak directly to the Wilfs about it and hopefully get it resolved. No more finding out about issues after the fact. Hoping this also means the Wilfs are in the building more instead of napping in Jersey and flying in for gamedays. I guess we'll find out.
I also like that Teasley has final say on the roster and isn't tied to OConnell long term. He didn't hire the guy but he could certainly fire the guy if the team underperforms and he sees fit. This was why bringing in an outsider with a different vision was incredibly important for this GM hire.
As much shit as I give the Wilfs, and deservedly so, I think they got this one right. I like the structure, Teasley was my #1 candidate and brought him up last year when the team was floundering and Kwesi looked like a goner, and I love that Brzez is still involved in the front office. There's no substitute for having quality people running your team bringing in Teasley while also retaining Brzez is win-win.
So...despite all the theories about some Triangle of Authority nonsense...nothing has changed in reporting structure. Brez works for Teasley. KOC and Teasley both report to the Wilfs. Teasley is ultimately responsible for the roster...with input from the coaches.
All the same as it was when Kwesi was here except maybe we have a guy that knows something about football.

Reading in between the lines these last 5 mos, I dont think KAM scored high on the internal affinity 360 feed-backs.
Hopefully the new GM is good for the building and for the team on the field!
