Introducing NFL Trivia — Daily Quiz Game Starts May 4th

Hey VikeFans — we're launching something new: NFL Trivia, a daily quiz game where your football knowledge earns you points on the monthly leaderboard.

How It Works

Every day, VFCorrespondent will post a new trivia thread here in The Longship. Each thread contains one question — multiple choice or free response — drawn from a bank covering Vikings history, NFL schemes and strategy, and general NFL knowledge.

You submit your answer blind: no one else can see what you've guessed until the reveal. After 24 hours, the correct answer is revealed, answers are graded, and the thread opens for normal discussion. Go ahead and argue about it after the fact — that's half the fun.

Scoring

Points are awarded at reveal time:

• 3 points — correct answer submitted within 1 minute of first opening the thread (speed bonus)
• 1 point — correct answer submitted after the 1-minute window
• 0 points — wrong answer, or no answer submitted before the reveal

For free-response questions, answers are graded generously — close paraphrases, nicknames, and minor spelling errors all count.

Seasons & Leaderboard

Trivia runs in monthly seasons. Points accumulate across all questions during the season, and standings are tracked on the Trivia Leaderboard. At the end of each season, the top finishers get bragging rights (and maybe more down the road).

Season 1 kicks off May 2026. First question drops May 1st.

A Few Ground Rules

• No posting your answer in the thread before the reveal — the whole point is blind submission
• If you haven't submitted before the reveal fires, your answer won't count for that day
• Questions span the full NFL — not just Vikings — so brush up on your league history
