I can't tell you how much I love this pick. MB, do you remember you and I discussing him? You asked if he could catch and he can. He's this amazing hybrid of TE/FB and even RB. And he'll kick your ass in the blocking department at just under 250 lbs. This is JJ's boy. KOC is going to use this dude in exciting ways as far as the unexpected. He's super versatile. Smart. The boys in Eagan dialed in the right dude, you'll see. Amazing pick at this stage, bookmark this post. There are plans for this guy situationally.

I'm not a deep Draft guy.....but this guy is going to be a Viking for a long time. The dude you love that does something so cool like 8 to 10 times a year that makes a difference in games. Super solid. This is a big time value pick. Kyler's new BFF because he won't let shit in.

Very good point. My concern is how accurate Kyler is downfield....but I'm not pre-judging anything until I see 2 or 3 games in September.

Well that and the fact that he's an inherently accurate QB. In Arizona's offense he didn't throw deep often, but he will in Minnesota. His deep accuracy numbers are actually pretty good.

This is a hard one to get a handle on with Murray....

Last 2 seasons his starting WR's were

  • Harrison Jr

  • Michael Wilson

  • Greg Dortch

I mean his best receiver was the TE...

As intriguing is the question of how our DL performs? How Murray does with this surround is even more so.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Hope he can take all of Ham's reps on special teams. huge need.
Ham wasn't sexy but he was above average as a special teams player

He'll be on special teams for sure, he's too good there not to be.

So this isn't CJ Ham 2.0, this is Max Bredeson 1.0 and this guy is more versatile than Ham and a better athlete. IMO having a FB/TE hybrid as an important player in a kick ass offense is actually optimal....and I know that's against the grain today. But what wins the day in that line of thinking is that they BLOCK really well. In the run AND the passing game. The guy behind the scenes that makes TDs or big plays happen. He can block and peel off for receptions.
