Day 3 Targets And UDFA

Biggest need left appears to be WR3. But maybe Nuk fills that role? We have cap space now if that’s the route Brez wants to go.
Couple Cs left as well as RB. Coleman or Claiborne would be welcome. Lew is an obvious target.
Overall, I’m very pleased with how this is panning out. Massive upgrade to the interior DL as well as LB/Gink. Cap situation is greatly improved.

IMO we need:
CB, C, RB, WR (oops...left off) and Edge at the very least. One of our last picks I am hoping the cared is for Riley Nowakowksi Indiana HB/FB/TE.
CB guys:
Jermod McCoy Tennessee
Keionte Scott Miami U
Malik Muhammed Texas
Jalon Kilgore South Carolina
Devin Moore Florida
C guys:
Conner Lew Auburn
Sam Hecht Kansas State
Brian Parker Duke
Matt Gulbin Michigan State
RB guys:
Mike Washington Arkansas
Nike Singleton Penn State
Emmett Johnson Wisconsin
Desmond Claiborne Wake Forrest
Isaiah Coleman Washington
WR guys:
Bryce Lance N Dakota State
Elijah Sarratt Indiana
Skyler Bell UConn
Deion Burks Oklahoma
CJ Daniels Miami U
Kevin Coleman Mizzou
Malik Benson Oregon
Edge/LB guys:
Joshua Josephs Tennessee
Denni Denis-Sutton Penn State
Mason Reiger Wisconsin
LT Overton Alabama
Tyreek Sapp Florida
I think we'll be "fine" with Brandel, but I was hoping we'd be better than fine. Even KOC mentioned how much he loved this center class. Vikings must have a center they like late in the draft. Or they know Lew is going to drop because of the injury.

We get either DDS or Reiger and I’ll be a damn happy guy. DDS is a great kick blocker. Been too long since this was a consistent part of our ST.

I saw this coming a couple weeks ago. Brandel had never played C before and in his six games starting, he did not do well the first three. The second three, his PFF grade was in the 80's. A marked improvement. Now imagine if he had worked at C from OTAs and TC before the season. I think he is our starting C. However, Lew is coming off an injury and most likely won't be 100% by TC...He could be a good backup behind Brandel to start the season and learn, until such time he gets healthy. Depth.
Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.

This is why I predicted Lew for us. He seems like a good fit for a team with a decent but maybe not ideal long-term starting center. Lew would have plenty of time to get healthy. And injuries are something we fans know nothing about, but NFL teams do (see Jermod McCoy). Vikings might know Lew will still be available in the late rounds.

I asked.
Brandle did not play guard or center in high school or college.
I kind of saw this coming when the Vikings chose Brandel over jurgens to start against the eagles.

I see Slaughter was the first center off the board? Had a feeling Minnesota liked him but not where he ended up getting drafted....2nd round. I bet they would have nabbed him in round 3 somewhere.

Really surprised Reiger wasn't taken. I read that not a single Wisconsin player was drafted for the 1st time since the 70s.

Logan Jones went first: #57 to the Bears. Slaughter went #63.
