Russini: Look for teams to return their attention to Greenard

NFL Network reporting Crosby now "committed" to Raiders after failed trade. No idea if he's even tradable at this point because the Raiders won't get the value they wanted. Baltimore royally screwed them..
Lots of teams looking for pass rushers though and the Greenard market likely heats up now. Lots of teams were reportedly interested in Hendrickson who will now pivot to plan B. We've already heard about the Eagles interest. The Vikings are sitting pretty here.
Agreed. Multiple suitors now. Might take a bit, might even be just before the Draft, but no reason the team shouldn't hold out for a 1st round selection.

"The Vikings have made Jonathan Greenard available and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being traded..
The Eagles have never made Jalen Carter available and they have never shopped him"

I don't mind being open to trading the guy, but I have low expectations that moving him will make sense. He's not going to bring you a first rounder, and if he walks next year as a free agent, you likely get a third round compensatory pick. So lets assume a team offers a second-rounder for JG -- would you trade him for what is essentially a swap of a 2026 second rounder for a late 3rd in 2027? Doesn't seem like value to me...
I don't think Minnesota is in a big hurry to trade him, but if someone offers a 1st rounder, I think he'll be moved. If not, they can keep him which I have no problem with at all.

Just read that the Eagles are being allowed to talk contract w/ Greenard’s agent, this deal could be going down soon…
Its a definite step toward a trade if they are trying to work out a new contract beforehand. I'll believe it when I see it and it better be for Philly's #23 selection in round 1.
take the 1 this year, you can always use it to trade for additional capital this year and somebody's first next year if you dont want to stick and pick.
JMO, but Jeremiah Love is going to be a much better NFL RB than Ashton Jeanty.
Jeanty was the next Barry Sanders. What are the odds that Jeremiah Love can top Barry Sanders?

I do like Love. If we could get Love by trading a 3rd or less to make the move, I’d do that. If not, just go get a DB or a DT.
There’s a reason that the highest paid RB has the same value as what Greenard is unhappy with making. You shouldn’t spend a ton of draft capital to go get that and trading up into the top 5-10 is crazy talk.
Yeah, the hype last year on Jeanty was ridiculously overblown. I think he will show out incrementally better this season, but he'll never live up to the pre-Draft hype, at least IMO.
My guess is #18 is going to be too far for someone to move back to for Minnesota to move up for Love. Which is a shame, I'd love to snag the kid.
