Maxx Crosby to the Ravens
For a 1st rounder in 2026 and a 1st rounder in 2027

Wow, didn't expect him to end up in Baltimore. I really think the market opens up now for Greenard, who might be the top pass rusher on the market now. I'd absolutely be calling Buffalo and New England to see if I can work some type of Greenard trade that included their late 1st round picks.

Relieved it's Baltimore and not Chicago.
I could be wrong, but I don't think we can get a 1st. I've seen some posts on Twitter comparing the stats of Crosby and Greenard. They're not far apart. But I think the difference between a "good player" and and an "elite player" is enormous when it comes to contracts, draft comp, etc.

You might be right, but the Vikings should absolutely give it a run. It will be interesting to see what the compensation would ultimately be should we trade Greenard.

Me too!! The drumbeats on that were too loud for my liking...
Parsons
Crosby
Hutchinson
Twice a year!?
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Yeah - Ravens backing out - Crosby "failed" physical. Crazy
Bonkers the Ravens backed out. If I'm a Raider fan I think I might hate the Ravens after this. Haven't seen anything like it since CP3-to-the-Lakers got axed by David Stern.
Now we wait to see in what way this inevitably hurts the Vikings lol.

Seems like buyer's remorse. They have a history of backing out of trades.
Makes one wonder what affects this may have on future dealings prior to the start of the league year if trades aren't official until then. Will teams delay deals until the pieces like this are in place before they begin their shopping to get a clearer view of the market, or will it be water under the bridge in a minute and business as usual?
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
I know I said something different a few days ago, but it now does seem a little weird to me that Crosby on crutches can draw TWO 1st round picks while we hope for a 2nd rounder for Jonathan Greenard. Greenard had surgery on his shoulder in December, but his prognosis seems a bit brighter than Crosby's.
Crosby can still be traded, but teams are going to be cautious. I wonder if this impacts Greenard's value at all.
From Field Yates on X-
The Ravens’ pivot from Maxx Crosby to Trey Hendrickson.
The Crosby trade was for two firsts and he was due $112.93M in base value for the next 4 years.
They now sign Trey Hendrickson for $112M over the next 4 years.

Ravens sign the top FA DE available to the same money as Maxx. Yep, if I'm a Raider fan I absolutely hate the Ravens' guts for this :P

Say goodbye to Jonathan Greenard for Philly's 1st round pick at #23. Otherwise keep him. Make Howie sweat it out for once, KAM doesn't live here anymore for the fleecing.
Honestly? I would rather work a trade with Philly that somehow includes Carter & Greenard swap.
I'm just glad the Bears have appeared to have blown their wad this year and not a front-runner for Crosby now...
We'll see....

But it wouldn't be an equitable swap, Philly would want a draft pick as well for giving up Carter.
Minnesota would be looking PRETTY having #18 and #23 for either drafting players are moving up for Jeremiah Love if so inclined.
Agreed, we would have to add something along with Greenard for Carter. But it's a deal I would explore. IDL is such a huge dark spot for MN assuming Allen and Hargrave are gone by end of day.
Might be Greenard and a future 4th or something depending on player performance?

What the hell is with all the reneging this year? WTF?

Damaged goods? Not worth two number ones and boat load of money...

Tom Pelissero just said teams aren’t going to do deals with the Ravens and that a big name agent won’t do deals with them either. They’re done for.
A little hot takey, but it sounds like a lot of folks are pissed off about this.
