Yep, for about 10 years now. The thing that always gets me is that Chuck Foreman’s son Jay retired from the NFL 20 years ago. His SON retired 20 years ago! Jay’s son, Armanti, who played briefly in the CFL, is also retired.
I knew I was old when supper was at 3:00 and bedtime was 5:00

Big Ben, Gronk, and AP should all be first ballot guys off that list.
Is the hall of fame really about the best that played the game? It seems like average players are getting elected to the hall of fame because of when they are eligible after 5 years if nobody else is qualified. Players can plan when they retire based on who else is qualified to be enshrined. Does anybody really think Luke Kuechly is worthy? Hall of fame rules require 3 to 5 modern era players each year. Just seems like the induction into the hall of fame has been watered down to the point of who really cares.

I hear yah and its not right Marshall didnt get in b4 getting called home to his lord.
I still think it means a bunch to those inducted...It's kinda football immortality by that point.
And as a fan, I'm always happy when a Viking gets in.
Where as the pro-bowl is a joke, the HOF is still revered would be my take.

there are still some truly deserving like Fitz, but yeah, I think some get in just because there arent many on the list or from certain teams.

Yeah, I don’t really understand the HOF or why it needs weird rules on how it determines who gets in or doesn’t get in any given year. I don’t understand why some guys are “first ballot” HOF and others aren’t. Did the criteria change between years? If not, why make them wait. Why have some douchey gatekeepers prevent some guys from going in, just because they got a vendetta. If 8 people are qualified, send 8 to the HOF. If 0 people are qualified, send 0. I feel like the only time people talk about the HOF is with regards to them snubbing people.
