OT: Streaming Referral
We streamed this last night and all I can say is wow! What an entertaining couple of hours. Great plot (plot twist), music, dancing, acting etc..
Best picture nominated and a rare 100/% on rotten tomatoes. Watch it past the end credits to get the final ending....

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Is it on Netflix, Hulu or Prime yet?
BTW, I do have a different referral...Song Sung Blue.
Now I'm not a huge Neil Diamond fan, but this true story was a good flick.
And no, it's not about Neil Diamond, but rather a tribute band...and that's all I'm going to say about it. We rented at home.

That flick was awesome. It isn’t about Neil Diamond but it is about his music and how much people love it. The emotions in the movie are brought out through his songs. As a huge Neil Diamond fan, I loved it.

Interesting. I've actually heard the opposite of what you posted, so maybe I'll have to check it out after all.

Me too. That's why I've been staying away from it. I'll give it a shot.
For us it was an entertaining & eclectic mix of genre. Just when you think you know where the plot is headed....
Thats all I'll say, other than watch it past the end credits.

On our next watch radar...Gotta admit I luv me some Neil Diamond at times too!

Interesting.. I heard mixed things.. Not much of a horror film person. Watch the Wrecking Crew. Funny action flick. Entertaining
I saw Sinners on a whim when it was in theaters, knowing very little about it and LOVED it. This was before it had all the hype and award nods, I barely even knew what the movie was about so I was very into it. Great movie that I've since rewatched again.
Sinners was the best movie I saw this year. Really want to see Hamnet though. Would've seen it with my kids already if it weren't for the fact that it's about the death of one of Shakespeare's boy/girl twins. Brutal. I don't think any of us make it out of that one undamaged. And Jessie Buckley is my new celebrity crush.
I'll probably watch Song Sung Blue. Looks fun. I love music biopics. I liked early Neil Diamond at lot (Solitary Man, Cracklin Rosie), but you can have the later stuff like Love on the Rocks and You Don't Bring me Flowers.

I dont think I can see Hamnet, that'd be a tough watch for me...Wife will have to see that on her own, with a box of Puffs Xtra Soft.

I did some more research and this one's not for me. Thanks for the rec and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I think research is a bad way to determine if this one is worth it or not. Weigh the referrals if you can get em from people you trust.
It's way beyond supernatural typical shit...I would have never given it the time of day if that was the main plot.
But its your time and $$!

When I say research, I mean polling people I trust and listening to people I follow, not what the internet says. lol

definitely dont trust "sources" unless you know the source, this goes for about anything read or hear.
look at the movie ratings that have both an "expert" score, and an audience score. typically they are polar opposites of each other, especially on movies that are "sensitive" in topic nature.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

How did I surprise you? Just curious.

I guess I didn't see you seeking to see a movie like Hamnet. :D
Well damn. It disappoints me that I come across as such a philistine. :-) My degree was in English Lit, so I’m a big fan of the Bard.
