I don’t remember just pulled the totals from PF reference. It doesn’t mean a whole lot right now, but I thought it was hopeful.

I sure hope McCarthy can pull out of this....I'd be super happy if he started showing some positive signs b4 Xmas.
Difficult time to be a Vikings fan right now.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

For sure. It feels desperate right now there’s no way around it. Hopefully he can pull it together. Some very smart people think he has the makeup and he’ll have to start doing it on the field or a lot of those same people will eventually lose their jobs.

He looked great against us. I think that was one of his few wins that year.

We can only hope

There's a part of me that gets that.....other guys have started out rough and turned it around. But my eyes watch JJ play and its just so bad sometimes. There's nothing I'd like more than for him to turn it around, but JMO I don't see it. As some have said, he seems to have regressed because he's pressing. Sigh. Are we too hard on him? Maybe a little. But its still a rough watch. But Darrisaw got owned by Parsons for sure, which made things harder. Much harder.JJ has to get rid of the ball quicker. This would take care of half his issues.
I am assuming you watch the video I posted above. I am no QB evaluator but the dude seems to think the core issue is not JJ getting the ball out quicker (at least for the Packers game). He did find I think two bad plays that could have been avoided if he got the ball out quicker though.
Playing QB is really hard. There are, what, 96 QBs in the NFL? About 12 of them can actually do it well consistently. It's not just pre-snap, getting out of bad plays and into good ones, it's progressions, getting the ball out on time and then throwing it with accuracy when you do. JJ has looked like a toddler playing chess against Magnus Carlsen.
I think eventually the game will slow down for him, but it won't be this year, and it may not even be next year. Vikings will have to bring in competition for him next season for one more shot at a championship while we still have top-level roster talent. We could see a rebuild after that though.
