Looking forward to this one...

I think I'm rooting for Detroit too.

Philadelphia is currently the favorite to make the conference championship (40.7%) per ESPN's Football Power Index. Detroit (23.9% conference), however, is right behind the Eagles and could gain the upper hand in the race with a win.

Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson sees Sunday's game in Philadelphia as a "must win" for Detroit.

The Eagles are the only NFC team that the Lions haven't defeated under head coach Dan Campbell since 2021, and he's warned the team about what to expect from the Eagles fans on the road, which is expected to be a rowdy setting.

"We've had this one our calendar. We've been looking at this one on our calendar for a long time, so, coaches are gonna have us ready," Hutchinson said after Wednesday's practice. "We're gonna be ready for this game and we really see this as a must win."

Philadelphia defeated Detroit 38-35 in Week 1 of the 2022 season and 44-6 in Week 8 of the 2021 season in their last two matchups. The Lions are looking to change that.

"Ultimately, where we see ourselves as a team, every year the standard is to battle for that No. 1 seed and they're one of those teams that we're gonna battle with," Hutchinson said. "That's why it's a must win in my eyes and it's gonna set us up really good for this last stretch of the season."

In other words, this is a pretty massive game.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Sounds like they may have a a bit too much riding on this one. Where is the one game at a time mantra?

Hard to cheer for Detroit, the eagles seem to get lucky all the time. Dunno, can both lose?

Yeah, I'll be rooting for the Kitties.  My son and his family, last couple years moved from Baltimore to Detroit (now in Boston) and If it aint the Vikes the Lions are OK.  Became a MN expat in the early 80's, and I always root Vikes #1, NFCN #2, (except the Packers and Bears, foul bastards), I guess that leaves the Lions .  Really enjoyed being in Balt. on game days, people heading to the game on lime scooters wearing Jackson jerseys and a 12 pack under one arm.

I kind of think that an Eagles win slightly helps us get to the playoffs more, but I can’t root for the Eagles. I still don’t really dislike the Lions outside of them being in our division. I’d much rather see the Eagles not win a SB than see a division rival win a SB.

I'm think I am hoping for a tie, can't see myself cheering for either team.

We're two games out of 1st place in a division that really doesn't have a consistently dominant team, unlike last year when there were two. As much as I hate to say it, go Eagles. But honestly, I'm not sure either of these teams would get past the Rams or Seahawks right now. Maybe they'll beat each other up. I'm not above rooting for that.

I'm rooting for...the kittens to lose. Our whole division is knotted within a couple of wins/losses, so the Vikings are very much still in it and doubly so if we sweep da Bums on Sunday.

If our team finds a stride, we get another shot at the Eagles in January.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
