I'd keep your wood in your pants on this one. AJ Brown makes $30M a year and that won't fly with us obviously. I was surprised when Addison was caught from behind, but after further review he stumbled a bit when he turned upfield. What's more, Payton Wilson ran a 4.43 forty at the combine. We talked about Wilson a bit in the draft threads. 

With all the problems we have you're pointing your finger at Jordan Addison? C'mon man.

I'm pretty sure the team will extend Addison, despite all the fan noise about ditching him.

He’s not an #1 and never will be. Addison has done nothing this year except for a blown coverage. Because he stumbled on the invisible piss ant ( it was a pretty poor throw) shows you his legs aren’t there, same as being caught by a LB.

 He’s gonna ask for 30 when this year is done anyway, giving him that is equivalent risk to paying Jarhead Jameson Williams.  

And yes I point directly at him because our offense is shit this year and he’s a big reason why.

I put the stumble on the turf conditions/cleat selection,  there were several instances where players were making a rather routine move and lost footing.  I am not a big proponent of carrying 2- $30M+ receivers,  but I dont think he is shit either,  he's made some stupid mistakes, but as a football receiver he is top 30-40 in the league IMO.

I guess I don't see how this would be remotely possible. Eagles would take too much dead cap hit.

Geez Bullazin, its his FIRST GAME of the year.  4 receptions for 114 yards at the #2 WR.   I would take that ALL DAY.

I'm with you on Addison but I can't be so charitable to Hockenson. You're right about the blocking which is unfortunate but he's not a difference making target when he gets chances either. Idk if it's injuries but he hasn't been an impact player for us. I can't blame it all on usage.

Big part of my point. It was his first game of the year.

When TJH returned Darrisaw went on IR last year   TJ Hasnt played well  Darrisaw being out hasnt helped

Yeah I agree on the money part of it.  I don't see him as a #1 type of WR either.

Yeah that field was pretty sloppy, was weird that the Steelers didn’t seem to have the cleat issues.

As the second option, he is averaging 900 yards and 9-10 TDs on a team with Justin Jefferson in his first two years in the league. If JJ wasn't here, Addison would be putting up Stefon Diggs numbers.

i put that partially on the equipment team,  maybe they didnt have the right option cleat available?  The steelers play outdoors themselves and perhaps their equipment people made better decisions?  I know I've seen it many times over the years where our players are falling all over and the opposition dont seem to have the same issues.  perhaps a side effect from playing and practicing on predictable turf.

I disagree but could be wrong.   Diggs was a better player than Addison has shown thus far IMO.
