Some in the national media are saying Green Bay is the best team in the NFC after they slaughtered weak Kitties. The Commanders need to generate pressure on Love and give Daniels some protection and this will be a whole different ball game.

What'll be interesting is if that Lions win even looks good by the end of the season.  Kinda like us beating the pants off SF last year...  they were healthy when we played early, but suffered a lot of injuries and missed the playoffs.  That win didn't look as good later in the year.

Hoping Washington wins so the media stops glazing the Packers.

Pulling for Washington big time, tonight. Daniels and co. will need to bring their "A Game", but I'm still not a believer in GB/Love and figure they'll lose some footing in the rankings after their first hard loss.

I'm all for that happening tonight...and both times we play 'em...!

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Forgot there was a game tonight. Yes, this should be a good one. We should know more about the Packers in about 8 hours.

Yeah, saw a power ranking with the pack at 4.  They admitted Love looked shaky at times... but the packers!

It is entirely possible that the losses that the Lions experienced in both Coordinators (offense & defense), plus the OL turnover had a bigger impact than anyone guessed.  I thought it could have an impact, but did not know until I saw it last week.

I'm having a hard time believing that the Packers are better than a team that was in the NFC Championship Game last January.

I haven't paid that close attention to any changes Washington made to their roster to improve it from last year's overachieving group.
Looks like there were a few changes. Not gonna sleep on this new owner in Washington...sounds like he has turned the culture around.

It's annual tradition for the media to slobber all over the Packers so no surprise there. I would love to see the Commanders win

Well that was a complete dud unless you are a Packer fan.

Two observations:

Washington laid an egg...Jayden Daniels did not play as free as he was last year.
This is the second game in a week where the home team wore white and the visitors wore colors/black. (Last Saturday a college game, it was a "black out"...all the fans wore black for a game under the lights and the home team? ...came out in all white.

Is this becoming a "thing?"

Hand up, I thought WAS could keep it within 4 or better and I was wrong.

GB with back to back home games to start the year, and WAS traveling on a short week after their first game was such a tough spot.

Green Bay defense looked stout again, and now they'll have 10 days of rest and a quick trip to Cleveland who will be coming off a game in Baltimore. Sadly, GB is in a very good spot. I hope the Vikings can take care of business against Atlanta.

Might be a bit before Viking's fans admit that Green Bay is good....but they are. That D is buzzing. Game was WAY more one sided than the score. If Minnesota had beaten both Detroit and Washington to start the year, fans would be losing their shit big time.

And this is the way to think of this loss, mature response from Daniels. Its one game.

Jayden Daniels: Nothing to dwell about, we faced a good team and came up short.

I agree completely.   Green Bay pretty much bitch slapped last years two NFC Title game participants.  That is DEFINITELY eye opening.  So early in the season so we really don't know if Green Bay is that good or have both teams losses in players and coaching staffs affected them to the degree they have taken multiple steps back.  We are all pretty familiar with the Lions losses and they are VERY significant so I went to check out Commanders and they lost a few very important pieces but it seems they more than made up for them.    I think them trading Brian Robinson was a huge mistake much like Kwesi made the mistake NOT replacing Dalvin Cook and going with Mattison as the bell cow back and it showed last night.  The loss of Jonathan Allen to the Vikings also reared its head last night as Jacobs gashed them up the middle.

Packers got up early, forcing Washington to abandoned the run too early. I think part of the reason the Vikings game back against the Bears is that they didn't abandon the run. Chunk runs by Jordan Mason is part of what brought them back. Daniels threw the ball 42 times and handed it off 12 times. That's not a recipe for a win.

That was a beat down last night, and it looks like the pukers are in better shape...but, I kinda want to see how Detroit looks against Chicago on Sunday.

If the kittens slap the cubbies around, then GB definitely looks legit.

If Chicago unveils their Johnson (har!) successfully and Campbell's soup (I'm reaching, sorry), many questions remain.

I couldn't agree more...

and JJM really didnt get on track till KOC remembered he had Mason on the sidelines and OL finally got serious.

THAT is the recipe for success this year with such a green QB. Not JJM to JJ.

Sorry Jetta, I am not predicting this to be your best statistical year. Hang tight for a season.

Green Bay doesn't appear to be the team they were last year. Although Love still misses on some of his passes, the O-line and D-line appear to be as good as any in the league. Their early schedule has them only playing one or two, if you count the Bengals, good teams in the next 8 games before they face the Vikings.
It's only two games, but they don't appear to be the team that barely won one game in the division last year.
Despite that, I think the Vikings have a team that can beat them if they can stay healthy until then.

Not sure we do.  I hate Thursday night games.  WA looked flat, like they had 3 days to recover, plan and travel.  Defense didn't have energy, offense looked out of sync.

From what I saw, it was hard to discern what was a positive for the Packers vs. poor play by Washington. Here is where I will give the Packers credit: (1) Josh Jacobs continues to be a beast; (2) they seem to have decent receivers falling out of their pockets; (3) Micah Parsons' get off is so fast, if he stays healthy...

Here is where I thought Washington just dribbled down its own leg: (1) lack of pressure on Love, even with 2 Packer OL out. They threw up a stat in the 2nd half showing Love's numbers when pressured -- they were terrible. Trouble is/was, Washington rarely got the pressures; (2) Washington's approach to the run game was more than a little questionable. Leaning on Ekler and pounding him up the middle? I saw no designed runs for Daniels; (3) Daniels had a bad game, full stop.

Pack looked good. On defense they fly to the ball and are stout on O. Love is just good enough to make it work

Foreskins have no running backs, though big weakness.

The talking heads kept talking about Daniels and McLauren not being on the same page.  That was very obvious.  They also started a rookie at RT, and I think they mentioned he had been a LT.  So that was quite a matchup for him against Parsons and Gary.  Left him 1 on 1 quite a bit.

Just a poor game by the whole of the Commanders.  Flat, uninspired, poor game plan.
