Jordan Addison approves
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has signed a three-year extension worth up to $83 million, sources confirmed to ESPN on Saturday.
The Lions announced Sunday that they had signed Williams through the 2029 season without disclosing terms. The two sides had agreed to the new deal less than 24 hours before the Lions' season opener at the Green Bay Packers.
Williams, 24, is coming off his first 1,000-yard receiving season and was entering the fourth year of his rookie contract, which included a fifth-year option. With Lions new offensive coordinator John Morton, Williams is expected to take on a bigger role alongside All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

He was a bust his first 2 years and did nothing. Last year he was a solid #2 on a stacked team with one of the top 5 OC’s in the game.
If he has grown up some and keeps his head out of his ass he may become a good player. Jury is still out. Very similar talent and head case similar to Jordan Addison. We’ll see on both of them.

And he was recovering from a knee injury suffered in the National Championship game his rookie year and wasn't expected to do anything, but people sure were quick to label him a bust when trying to justify the Kwesi trade down with Detroit. He's a very solid starting player and still only 24.

I agree to an extent, imo this is a big gamble by the lions as last year was really the anomaly from the start of his career unlike Addison who has shown he is a talent if he gets his head on straight, Williams is getting paid for 1 year of production.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Madness. He improved his route running last year to the point where they could actually use him on other things besides go routes and crossers. But to double down on your draft mistake by throwing cash at him, hoping that he continues to develop and eventually gets to where you need him to be? Madness. But yes, Jordan Addison approves.
In 3 seasons
