I think Nailor's going to surprise a lot of people this year.

Will Ragatz
@WillRagatz
Sam Howell’s first pass attempt of the day is jumped by Ivan Pace Jr. for a pick-six

J.J. McCarthy just demonstrated his deep arm. Rifled a ball down the right sideline to Jordan Addison for a 60-yard TD.

Omg, we just got a training camp Gink Six. AVG was all over a screen pass from Brett Rypien to the right side. Bobbled it a bit but caught it and housed it.

Big updates from Doogie.

OLB Dallas Turner looks "bigger" from a strength and size perspective.

I just want him back fully. I don't want to put him out there until he is 100. Sounds like his rehab is going perfect and hasn't had a setback. I want him out there week one, but I can't help but be precautious with one of the best LTs in the game.

"While Darrisaw will ease back in a little slower, Fries is nearly ready for full-go. O’Connell explained Fries has been fully cleared medically; now, it’s just ‘a matter of ramping him up football-wise’ as a newcomer to Minnesota’s offensive system. Positive news for the timetables of Darrisaw and Fries has an impact on the Vikings entire team — and certainly on J.J. McCarthy, who’s readying for his first season as Minnesota’s starting quarterback.”

I also love they've just plugged in Donovan Jackson in as the starting LG right from the jump. Why do a silly for-show 'camp competition' when you know damn well Jackson is going to be the starter? Get him in and get him reps so he's as ready as he can be for Game 1. Fries will be in at RG in a few days and boom, lets rock.

Agree. I said the same thing to a friend earlier in the week. Put him at his forever home and just keep him there. He's going to need every rep he can get.

I am split on this.
The part about "camp competition" is bogus, in that I agree.  Annoint him as starting LG, fine.
But to mix in backups taking snaps with the first team is just smart...I don't need to remind you that injuries happen.
Whether it is Brandel or anyone else at backup (Brandel is a very capable backup), it's good to have them get in the mix...just in case.

Oh no doubt. You'd want to give the guy breaks and let LG2 get some reps. I'm just saying I don't want Jackson taking reps at a different position. For example, they might've been tempted to move Jackson to RG while Fries was out, keeping Brandel where he played last year.
