After seeing the shitty field conditions last year, the last thing I want to see is McCarthy testing out that knee on a fucking soccer pitch. The NFL is just soooo dumb with the decisions they make. Starting off the season in fucking Brazil!? Hell no!

Yeah, that was one of the worst surfaces played on in recent memory. Love got his injury that he battle all year in that game. I Was surprised there wasn't more.
I can tell I'm getting old. I'm annoyed with the international games that take away a home games from loyal local fans who helped make the NFL great. Also the progressive pandering to the flavor of the month. Don't Disney the NFL. It has a lane..stay in it. Get off my lawn! :-)
NFL is going global and from a marketing and revenue perspective, this is a good move for them. The potential is enormous.
That said, the Vikings better not be playing two games overseas. And I don't know why you can't just demand that Brazil replace their turf or lose the NFL. Hell, get three owners together and install a new turf for them with their pocket change. Fuck girl football, or soccer as some call it, if they complain. Build them a state of the art new surface. I doubt they'll hate it.

Just like Disney....
For the first time in 15 years, the Walt Disney Company has announced the development of a new theme park – a resort destination in Abu Dhabi that marks the company’s entry into the Middle East.
The Disneyland Abu Dhabi resort will become Disney’s seventh global resort destination, the company announced Wednesday shortly after reporting strong second-quarter earnings.
Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports have ambitious plans, with their vision as a pair of world-leading airports connecting a third of the world’s population within a four-hour flight. That includes the 1.4 billion people living in India, many of whom would be able to travel a shorter distance to Abu Dhabi than to Disney’s parks in Shanghai or Hong Kong.

Teams want the money from selling branded merch to new markets. The Wilfs told the NFL they wanted more international games, no doubt for just that reason.

Much more palatable if they keep their home games. It will feel like home games for Minnesota in Dublin and London.Ben Goessling

From what I’ve heard over the past couple weeks, it appears likely the #Vikings will play back-to-back international games this fall. They have road games against the Steelers and Browns this year; the Steelers host in Dublin and the Browns are in London. It would be the Vikings’ fifth trip to London, and third in four years.
They would keep all eight home games at U.S. Bank Stadium this year.
I guess if you're going to stab a team in the heart with not just two overseas games, but back to back overseas games, the least you could do is make both of those games road games, so essentially, we'll keep all our home games and we have two road games taken out of the opponent's stadiums and placed in neutral sites.
London is becoming Minneapolis East. Vikings are already very popular there.
Maybe taking two overseas games gets us another Super Bowl at the Bank. Or the draft.

I'll give this the same weight I give them when they say Jordan Love is a great NFL QB and being drunk all day every day is good for you.
Someone posted Week 5 Vikings at Browns in Tottenham

Arif Hasan, but NFL ? @ArifHasanNFL · 15h Hearing that the Vikings will be playing internationally in back to back weeks:• at Steelers Week 4 in Dublin at Croke Park
• at Cleveland Week 5 in London at Tottenham
Sorry, I didn't see this before I posted.
London Games:
Oct. 5th (W5): Vikings at Browns, Tottenham
Oct. 12th (W6): Broncos at Jets, Tottenham
Oct. 19th (W7): Rams at Jaguars, Wembley
Spain Game:
Nov. 16th (W11): Commanders at Dolphins, Madrid
Germany Game:
Nov 9 (W10): Falcons @ Colts, Germany

Rumor is Vikings play Pittsburgh in Dublin and then Browns in London the week after.
And apparently Packers fans are pissed because the Vikings would get 2 "road" games turned into neutral sites, with the Browns game likely a majority Vikings crowd.
