His time in the NFL is coming to a close. He had a few decent outings last year, but as a fantasy owner of Garrett Wilson, I watched him a lot and found myself screaming at the QB more often not.

If he wants to keep playing, there are probably a couple teams who would have him (at a big discount), but if anyone takes Rodgers over Cousins or Darnold or even Daniel Jones, they deserve what they get.

I really just wonder if there is any possible scenario he ends up in Minnesota and the ghost of Brett Favre comes full circle. I mean, its almost like fate..right?

I think for a 40 year old guy coming off an achillies tear with an offensive system that couldn't even figure out how to use Breeve Hall correctly, I think he played pretty well and I would expect him to play even better with a full year post surgery under his belt.

I agree, he's not even at the top of the FA QB get list anymore...Huge distraction for any team. And the teams that would consider him most likely dont have the most cohesive locker room either.

Not sure who'd take a shot at him now, the guy is 41 years old. And he looks it, shrunk up. I don't think the guy has lifted a weight in years. This isn't even bringing up his monster ego and diva-ness. I guess his best and only option would be a one year bridge QB for a drafted rookie.

they have the 7th pick in the draft....Not sure if they can/want to move up for Ward or Sanders?

He'll retire. He'll have to find a new way to stroke his ego.

I think there will be plenty of teams in need of a QB, more than will be able to adequately pretend like they got a QB. I think a lot of it is going to breakdown to who can actually benefit from Rodgers. Like if you have a garbage roster that will take a couple years to rebuild, Rodgers doesn’t make much sense. I think he’d be an adequate starter if he went someplace that had a solid offensive staff in place, rather than just letting the inmates run the asylum, but where is that? I kind of think his options are going to be limited to shitty teams where he’s taking hits on his body but without really hope of a solid campaign.

At this point he’s probably best off retiring and starting a podcast or a retreat for entrepreneurs/tech execs.

Aaron Rodgers Rumors: QB 'Pleaded' With Jets to Stay Before Team Decided to Part Ways

Before the New York Jets announced this week that they are moving on from veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers after two seasons with the team, Rodgers reportedly tried to make his case for why the Jets should keep him.

According to Ryan Dunleavy and Steve Helling of the New York Post, Rodgers "pleaded" with the Jets to give him one or two more years as the starter during his final conversations with team officials.

A source told Dunleavy and Helling that Rodgers "aggressively urged" the Jets to keep him, but once the decision was made to part ways, Rodgers accepted it.

The quarterback decision was ultimately up to Glenn and Mougey, and while it may have seemed like an easy call on the surface, there were reasons for them to at least consider keeping Rodgers.

Despite being 41 and coming off a torn Achilles, he put up respectable numbers, completing 63.0 percent of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Additionally, the Jets may not be able to realistically upgrade on Rodgers this offseason given who is set to be available.

Sam Darnold is set to be the top free-agent quarterback, but he almost certainly won't return to New York after struggling mightily as the Jets' starting quarterback to start his career.

The Jets also have the No. 7 overall pick in the draft, but there is seemingly a good chance that Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will be off the board by the time they pick, and they are the only surefire, first-round quarterbacks as of now.

Rodgers is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer with nothing left to prove, but now he has to decide on his next move.

He could either ride off into the sunset and retire, or he could try to land elsewhere in hopes of ending his legendary career on a much higher note

A few of the dumbass pundits and rumor-mongers on social media have pitched him being "Favre 2.0" and coming to the Vikings until JJM is healed and "ready".

I can never, ever, state enough how much I'd hate the team for even considering that cosmic d-bag in the locker room. I can't name another QB that owed more to his career to o-line and refs ignoring holding. I remember, back in the Ponder days, of literally timing the pockets of us vs Green Bay and Ponder would often have 2 seconds or less, while A-a-ron would have 6-7 seconds; his level of protection would've gotten us/Darnold at least a pair of playoff wins.

He needs to just take his piles of money and go into the microdosing sunset. His best, and even his good, seasons are in the books. Just please, PLEASE, don't let him become an announcer.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

I think the chances are < slim to none Rogers is a Viking.

I understand why some are talking about this. In some ways it makes perfect sense. Wise (in football), declining QB, probably cheap, not ready to retire, backing up the young franchise QB with a few question marks....on a team with the best weapons he's ever had.

In other ways I think Rodgers would be the bull in KOC's carefully crafted culture shop. First, he's a nut. Second, he would make it all about himself and the media will help him do that. JJ doesn't need that shit circus.

Anybody that wants Rodgers on the Vikings pretty much must hate the Vikings and want them to fail.

I don't think Rodgers ego would allow him to follow the footsteps of Favre all the way to the end.
