The #1 seeds take center stage...
This may not age well, but I think this is where both those #1 teams exhibit their experience and talent advantages.
I'm kinda rooting for The Commodes over Lions.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I really just don't like Dan Campbell. I hope Washington can make it a game.
I get it, personally I dont mind Campbell as much as some...
He reminds me of the Meathead Tice personna.

I don't dislike Campbell, but his coaching style of his players taking cheap shots doesn't sit well with me. There is a difference between playing tough and Kerby Joseph taking out guys knees, Brian Branch hitting guys late out of bounds, DL going after dudes heads, etc.
Why do I have a feeling this dislike may stem from the fact that they are winning?
I had a fear a while back that the Lions may actually be on to something great. Seems like they were

They win dirty, thats where the disdain comes from, otherwise they are kind of a model of how to do it, build your lines and then go get your skill players, fast tough nose defense, unpredictable offense, but the cheap shit is hard to overlook and harder yet to want to see het rewarded with success.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Geez Lake Michigan is going to turn into an ocean with all the salt in Det
Amybody else's audio feed of the game all choppy? Ive had this issue on about 3 or 4 games this year, it usually gets fixed at least by half, but still shitty with 4 to go.

Nope. Didn't age well.

I think he meant winning as an overall term, not at that particular moment...its unquestionable that the lions are headed in the right direction as a franchise, or at least until their coaching staff gets raided amd they have to figure out how to pay all their players that are performing at a high level.

I think thats just it. Ben Johnson was too cute I think at times yesterday and it cost them. The WR pass play that Williams had no business throwing that led to an INT was not the right call at that moment. Campbell face was priceless after that. Both coordinators I feel are leaving. I just get the feeling this was the beginning of the end for Detroit.
I think Johnson will be hired, not sure about Glenn.
Lions turn-overs and 63 players on IR done them in.
MAJOR kudos to DQ, Daniels and that Washington team. That was a hella game they brought to Ford Field.

Yep, they had a nice window last year and this one and have zero to show for it thus far. It happens. Is the window closed or closing? Maybe. I see them as a perennial playoff participant the next 2 years for sure. My guess is they'll be formidable this upcoming season as well, but maybe you'll see a drop after that. Goff may have reached his ceiling.
Unfortunately for them most of their defense was on IR and other than week 18 versus the purple it showed as they basically ranked last in the league over a couple months. Maybe as some have suggested, it's karma for some of those injuries they inflicted in a questionable manner.
Goff's ceiling-yes. He was asked to put the team on his back vs. the Commies and well, he crapped the bed. Not as bad as a full Darnold but bad enough.
He's another very good but not great quarterback getting top $, but whom you have to put a super strong team around to have a shot at a title. And Detroit has done that, but the injuries derailed them. But we've seen a bunch of those contracts for teams that now look like a hot mess with a super expensive qb-Dallas, Jacksonville, Cleveland, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jets.
We gotta hope and cross our fingers that JJM becomes great, so when and if he gets the "bag" he is carrying this team to a shot at a title every year. That is the current NFL dream model and we all hope for a chance to live it.
