Vikings buy $2M worth of tickets to Lions game
The vikings ticket holder that accepted the offer and then resold the ticket on the open market should have to forfeit his season ticket rights IMO.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Think this team isn't doing everything possible to win this game?
1900 tickets isn't going to make much of a noise impact among 65,000. So I don't think this move was about winning as much as it's a big thank you from the Wilfs to the fans. First class org.

Winner, winner...
I just hope at the end of the game, that stadium is empty sans fans in purple skol'ing their souls out loud.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Nice job by ownership regardless of outcome. I see the Lions went whining to the NFL to see if 'it was legal', lmao. Incredible gesture for season ticket holders.
Some organizations play chess, while others play checkers.
They bought them or the section behind the Vikings bench. I am guessing that is to keep fan bull shit at a minimum. This way the fans can get the players going and keep them motivated. On the sidelines it will seem like a home game with the Wilfs buying the section behind the Vikings bench. That is my thought process anyway.

I read the "season ticket holder" was a ticket broker. They made money twice on this deal given the Vikings generosity. I'm guessing their season ticket privileges will be revoked next year. There's appetite in Congress to make it illegal for ticket brokers to be the original ticket purchasers. I'd love to see that. It's almost impossible for the average Joe to purchase sporting or concert tickets at face value.

NFL friend texted saying "Baller move by the owners of the Vikes. What a commitment to winning. Impressive."
Friend w/ season tickets & daughter row one at the 20 tomorrow night & behind the Vikes bench for face value (or less)! Those seats min. $1k each open market.
Sheer class.

This. Quite the racket in the tickets game out there and has been for a long time.
