Not sure they can hitch their long-term wagon to Richardson. Do they even go into next season with him as QB1???

Not sure they have a choice???

2023: 59.5%, 577, 3 td's, 1 int, 87.3 QBR
2024: 47% 1683, 7 td's, 11 int, 60.1 QBR

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I still think he came out way too early.
He really only had one full season as a college starter, his red-shirt Sophomore year. And really, look at his stats: 53.8% completion rate?
His physical performance in the Underwear Olympics just put him heads and tails above most of the rest..yes, I admit I had some love for him, watching him effortlessly flicking a 70 yard pass.
But he simply was not seasoned as a college QB, more of a physical freak. Compare that to Bo Nix who started for two teams and was a starter in college football for FIVE years, breaking an NCAA college record for completion % his final season in Oregon at 77.4% While Nix is still a rookie, his numbers have stabilized after a rough start, and improved the last few games (TNF against the Chargers notwithstanding). Nix has put the Broncos in the playoff hunt at 9-6 (in the 7th and final playoff spot) for the first time since they won the Super Bowl with Paintin' Manning.

He was one who really got some hype leading up to the draft, but I never really saw it in college on gameday. As was mentioned above, another year might have done him some good. Was hoping with his coach that he could develop into a Jalen hurts type and he still might, but has definitely has some serious work to do.

Another product of the hype machine and ruined by the notion that a first round pick has to start regardless of readiness.

Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Colts might bring in Kirk Cousins after Atlanta cuts him?

I think they have to take their medicine just like everyone else. They'll stick with Richardson until it becomes obvious he's not the answer. They'll tell the world how much they believe in him and support him and want to give him the kind of tools he needs to succeed. It's us, not him. And then in year or two, they'll start over, probably with a veteran this time.

But if I'm KOC this is a kid I'd love to rebuild.
