This is the type game tonight Brock Purdy needs to win....

I know what you mean, but they are really dinged-up this year. I dont know if I can judge Purdy off of this one.
Again, picking and choosing what you judge QBs on really doesn't hold anyone to a standard. Purdy is up for a lot of money: is he a guy that moves the needle or is he the guy that needs everything perfect around him to succeed? Its just how I view it because that's how 49er fans are viewing it for sure.

I dont think he's elite...Not going to lift those around him. But he sure can succeed with the surround they built and the coach they have.
They dont have a better option either...
Hi there!

I thought about Darnold too...And they've seen him up close and personal as well.
I dont think they'd do it, sure would send shockwaves through the league though lol!
lol, yeah I agree....he probably won't be going there. It'll be interesting to see the suitors for Sammy.
Yeesh, what a horrible game. I'm not even sure what I watched. Rough year for Shanahan for sure.....and then this happened during the game:

But you cant pay top tier QB money and maintain what theyve built around him, if he isnt the lift them up type of QB, very few are, then you cant let his contract hamstring your team. Offer him fair money for the value he does bring and if somebody wants to over pay, go looking for the next Purdy, they arent unicorns.
Yeah, that's my point and I agree with you. Last night's performance did nothing to change my opinion on Purdy, only solidified it. Not saying he sucks, but this can't be a $55+ million a year contract.
