So they did it huh?

Man, they better make the playoffs and make some noise, the team I saw last night looked pedestrian.

They would have been better off getting a new LT

The Raiders will receive a conditional third-round draft pick that could improve to a second-round selection, the sources said.

Its rather clear Rodgers runs that team.  Looks like the band is getting back together, as far as that LT purplefaithful, David Bakhtiari is waiting for the phone to ring.

I get it, I watched A-a-ron's passes bounce off hands regularly last night; it was as close as I'll ever get to having sympathy for that d-bag.

We knew he'd get his way, but that hasn't gotten him any returns to the "show"...so, Jets fans are in for more expensive frustration.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

New York's shock firing of Robert Saleh did not prevent its successful pursuit of Davante Adams.

Seven days after the Jets fired their head coach and less than 24 hours after a prime-time loss to the Bills, they have agreed to a trade for Adams from the Raiders, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday, per sources.

Las Vegas will receive a conditional 2025 third-round pick in exchange for Adams, Rapoport and NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported, per sources.

The third-rounder can become a second-round pick if Adams becomes a first- or second-team All-Pro this season, or if he's on the active roster should the Jets make the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl LIX, per Pelissero.

Pelissero added that the Jets have agreed to take on the rest of Adams' salary in order to get the deal done, per a source. Adams' base salary is $16.89 million and he also has $510,000 in per-game active roster bonuses. The Jets will take on the prorated portion, which comes out to $11.6 million.

Adams is already in the Jets' building and will undergo a physical, per Rapoport. Adams has missed the past three games due to a hamstring injury, but Rapoport reported the injury is in a good place.

By trading for the three-time All-Pro, New York reunites Adams with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who Adams spent eight years catching passes from as a Green Bay Packer.

Anybody shocked?

Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Makes perfect sense. Seems like the most logical outcome for the Jets, for Rodgers, and for Adams, and the Raiders get some compensation after they got rid of Carr and decided to rebuild.

Sounds like the Brown’s Amari Cooper is going to the Bills…

Lot of talk after trading Adams that the Raiders are in full rebuild mode and the Lions could make a move for Maxx Crosby after losing Hutchinson. Price tag would be a minimum of two 1st round draft picks. Mark Davis came out and said Crosby "isn't going anywhere" but this could be a situation to monitor. Crosby is from Michigan and went to college there

Crosby's contract is $28 million for next year and Hutch is in the final year of his rookie contract so he's about to get paid as well. Not sure the Lions want over $60+ million tied up in 2 DE contracts. Goff is at $32 million for 2025 and that jumps to a cap hit of almost $70 million for 2026. I guess they could swing for the fences right now, and the cap seems to be very malleable to accommodate things that don't seem possible, so I won't say it can't happen.

I think the Lions window is now though, and that was a gruesome injury Hutch suffered. Does he come back as the same type player and when does he return? Sometimes guys don't make it back physically (see Lewis Cine). I have no doubt the Lions will make some type of move. Will it be a "swing for the fences" kind of move, like trading for Crosby, remains to be seen.

I don't think a rebuild necessarily means you get rid of all your good players.  I think with Adams, you look at him being 32 and think that he'll probably be 34 and not worth his contract once the Raiders re-enter their competitive window.  Crosby at 27, would probably still be productive and worth his contract.

I guess it just depends on where they realistically see themselves as being contenders. You look at that roster and they have a lot of holes (including not having a winning option at quarterback) and not a lot of building block type players. It might be wise for them to move Crosby for maximum value now. I doubt it happens but it will be worth monitoring

I kind of feel like no one is down for 3 year, burn it to the ground rebuilding plans, which is what I imagine happens if they’re getting rid of 2 of their best players.

Their GM is probably getting fired if he goes to Mark Davis and suggests he needs 3 years to fix this thing.

Who knows what they’re thinking though.  It was pretty nuts of them to not try and trade up for a QB this past year.

But they are probably realistically 3 years away from contending anyways if you look at their roster. That puts Crosby on the other side of 30 and how many more wins is he worth a season by retaining him? Just glad it's not the Vikings having to figure stuff like that out.

I'm not talking from the perspective of an objective fan.  I’m talking from the perspective of an owner who has seen other teams go from bad to contending in a year or two.  An owner that isn’t necessarily known for being “objective” or patient.  In the 13 years Mark Davis has been in control of the Raiders, they’ve had 8 head coaches and 6 GMs.  They aren’t operating within a “realistic” expectation of a rebuild.
