I'm going to have a lot better handle on this team even by Thanksgiving.
I like our chances of making the post-season, but I’m not ready to go "heart in" for a while.
Is the SB in SoFi this year? Hell, I'd have to go and see my kid while in Cali.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Thanksgiving is my timeline too. I am enjoying the ride, but we have a couple tough ones coming up. Lions on the road, Bills in Primetime, Packers on the road, and then the Niners on the road. All before Thanksgiving.
I am halfway in the door. I remember 2016 very well. 5-0 and next thing you know Zim is calling everyone SAWFT! Injuries and ...no playoffs and a disaster.
Lets see if the offense can improve and this defense can maintain.
I also know as soon as I buy in fully is when the Vikings drop the anvil on my head.
AND...NO MORE TALK ABOUT THE KICKER!! Sheesh!
Confucius say: 'at the most unlikely times come the most amazing outcomes'.....keep the faith. 👊💪
(he didn't say any of that, but he should have)
I don’t know what this is. Is this a guys opinion? An algorithm of sorts? The Betting market?
Regardless, I still think the Rams have better odds at winning a SB than us.
Yeah, I keep having 2016 flashbacks too. Then I tell myself this is 5-0 is different because the 2016 team in the first 5 weeks had 5 defense+st TDs. Completely unsustainable, and I don't think they had another in the last 11 games. The 2026 Vikings have the Price punt return, but no D scores. Not depending on flukes for points. Also in 2016 after week 2 they'd lost both OTs and AD. Resulting in one of the worst running games in Viking history. Other than Jackson, this team will be healthier week 7 than they were week 1.
Not "all in" for the SB by a long shot, but this team is not the 2016 Vikings healthwise, has an even better D and 7 home games in their last 12. They're making the playoffs. Winning a playoff game? That's up to KOC.
Never heard of these guys but rankings are useless for the most part. There has been a whole lot of looking ahead during the bye. I just want to win the next game. Lose against the Colts and the odds of a superbowl berth will seem far less likely. The Vikings have been beneficiaries of some good luck they usually don't receive during this 5-0 record. KOC is 50/50 coming out of byes. I hope he can keep the team focused and not looking ahead. They have great potential and I expect them to win, but I've seen this too many times before. I remain guarded!
Ngl I'm pretty in on this year's team right now. The second half of the Saints game when Kyler was converting those 3rd downs with his feet, I began to see the path.
Our offense is still fairly putrid, and I know that even the best defenses can have WTF weeks... But without even projecting an amazing offense moving forward, I still think our roster sets up very well this year. With long range kickers being more important than ever, the new special teams and overtime rules that I believe suit our team, and defenses making a bit of a comeback leaguewide (with ours at the forefront so far), I CAN SEE A PATH!!
Lots of home games yet for the Minnesota Vikings. That will be a very good thing as we move forward… Kyler hasn’t felt the full love of a US Bank lovefest yet. Hope he gets that and continues feeling more confident in the offense.
Being 5-0 is an enormous advantage. You'd think it's not really that big a deal to win 5 straight games, but when you look at the math, it really starts to sink in. Vikings could go .500 the rest of the way and still finish 11-6. With the exception of the 49ers, every other team in the NFC has at least two losses. Rams, Seahawks, Eagles, Packers, Bears, Lions, all at least two games behind the Vikings.

Spicy conversation about the Vikings. Why is it so hard to believe that the Vikings defense might just be one for the ages? And it's really weird that nobody trusts our offense, like at all. Could it all go south? Absolutely. But isn't it also possible that Murray settles in and becomes the baseline QB we've wanted since Darnold left? Because with that line, those weapons, and the OC, that's all he really has to be. And he just might be so much more than that.

Dan, the guy who isn't convinced by the Vikings, argues about the weak teams the Vikings have played. OK, it hasn't been a murderer's row of teams, but don't make that argument if you don't also make it about the 49ers, because...
49ers opponents combined record 9-21; Vikings opponents combined record 12-19

Its because of Minnesota's passing offense, 28th ranking currently. Not enough flash. They can pretend its something else, but these national guys are too locked into the fantasy-esque aspect of passing. Vikings still have things to prove in the passing game however.
All three undefeated teams and their opponents' winning percentage....
Vikings: (.379)
49ers: (.357)
Chiefs: (.310)

Both legit takes imo...
Lets get into this tough November and see what the hell we got.
Hopefully the football gods are in a good mood as we barrel towards the holidays.

Vikings have given up 3 points in the 4th quarter all year. First of all, that's ridiculous. Second, I looked up when it happened. It was the Bucs game. They kicked a 54 yard field goal after converting a 3rd and 29, converted only because of a ticky tacky helmet-to-helmet call on Metellus.

It's lunacy what the D has done season-to-date...
I hope someone is chronicling these feats so we can look back and marvel.
I'm not sure its possible to appreciate if fully whilst in the middle of it.

Out of the undefeated teams we have the hardest road among them. You can't help who you play. You just have to win the games. The Vikings have a bit of a tough road leading up to Thanksgiving. That will tell many people what we should expect the rest of the season. Kyler has a big chance to build off Nawlins. Coming off the bye, getting healthy, this is Kyler's moment. Let's prove everything wrong with the media and keep building wins. If we can keep the losses to just the Bills and Niners before Thanksgiving, that tells me that Kyler has done his job. I actually am excited to see how the rest of the year turns out. I believe Kyler will come out of the bye better. Yes, this is me saying that lol
