Do you think the Vikings will find a partner to trade JJ before the start of Week 1 vs GB?

More likely he goes on IR.

Yeah, I think this will be the way....first 4 games out then I believe?

My guess is possibly a few teams inquired, but they weren't willing to part with much, so Minnesota is then better served probably just holding onto him. He'll definitely be QB3 this year now if he goes on IR, you need to keep Wentz engaged and ready for action when called upon with Murray as he may miss a game or two down the road.

I don't think anyone is willing to give up a box of plastic sporks.

Look there's no value there. He doesn't play and when he does he looks like hot garbage. If we were talking about Tjack back in the day all of us (almost) would be screaming for this guy to be QB3 or cut. It is what it is. A bad draft choice in a draft where we got out-GM'd and we panicked and took him because we felt like we had to.

Is this thing STILL on?

I’m still holding out hope that he can turn into something for us. I see flashes that I never saw with other previous failed Viking QBs.

He's been thru 3 Training Camps as a Viking and no one is saying his game has improved. Knowing he was in a TC competition vs K1 and nothing, zip, nada. How can that be explained?

Poor Play calling or in game adjustments don't account for that.

The more this shakes out , KO was on point to bring in Murray.

Don't trade JJ.

Yah after the last offseason regimen with qb experts, working with lh the wrs and more, I was really hoping for tangible, easy to see improvement.

I’m starting to think the qb competition was something he wasn’t prepared for emotionally?

Others May argue he held his own with that, but the pre season games weren’t confidence inspiring

I voted no. It doesn't make a ton of sense...UNLESS there is a personality conflict. But I think that's very possible. I hope they keep him. The odds of him developing might be low, but they're zero if he's not on the team.

FWIW, he does have value. There's always somebody who thinks they can fix a guy or that he wasn't given the proper onramp, or that injuries blurred his true value. Remember, the Vikings were not the only team who was high on young JJ coming out.

That said, I think the best we can do is a 4th, 5th is more likely.

He is a long term project. If we have room for a long term project we should keep him. There is no value in trading or cutting him unless we need to roster spot or a different player. Can he be happy as a long term project? That's up to him.

could say the same about Murray, his camp reports were less than flattering until the job was handed to him, I am questioning his mental fortitude until given a reason not to by his play in tense situations, until I see him step up when all eyes are on him, I am going to be just as nervous as if it was JJM out there air mailing balls and throwing off time on breaking routes. I dont have a warm and fuzzy about this position at all this year. I think Murray is going to be another one of those that is good enough... but not really good enough.... but of course we wont have any other options so he will get a new deal that puts us right back on the QB CrazyTrain to NFL pergatory!

Please let's stop with this trade JJ scenarios...If it happens, it happens...if it doesn't, it doesn't...I'm concentration on the wins and losses for this season, preferably more wins than losses.

K1 has a history of fast starts then trailing off come November. Least that’s what I read in X…

Not sure how that’ll play out here with a brand new system? I could argue just the opposite seems most likely.

It’s been a rough preseason and hoping the season is fun for all of us.

When they signed Kyler I assumed JJ and his agent would ask out at some point. The mystery ankle might be a sign we are at that point but, one never knows. It could be tomorrow, 3 weeks, or he could be here all season. We're in the dark like always, making guesses.

I voted No. I'm hoping the best for the team this season but admit I am pessimistic about our QB room. IMO, our starting QB in 27 is not presently on the team.

Kyler was always going to win the job as most know but even having said that, based on reports it feels a lot more like JJM blew it rather than Kyler came in and blew any doors off. Maybe K1 is saving the goods for the real games? 🤷‍♂️

They both had good reports and bad reports, neither seemed to be making the job theirs. Its the fact that the reports were the same day after day, but then magically as soon as he was crowned. . Its been nothing but rainbows and ice cream shitting unicorns from him. I hope he makes me ever forget doubting him, but I didnt like him coming out of college, didnt think much of him in AZ, and if he had been anything but a free role of the dice as a FA... i would have been royally pissed. Still think JJM has gotten a bit of a raw deal, but sometimes we reap what we sow... actually most of the time.

Right now JJM's greatest ability is his unavailability.
