C. Carter ~ Murray is KOC’s best QB been able to work with
#Vikings HOF Cris Carter says Kyler Murray is Kevin O’Connell’s best QB he’s been able to work with during his tenure in Minnesota.

“His body of work is so much better than Sam (Darnold)… Kyler is so much better. When he got Kirk Cousins, Kyler’s better than him.”

You can certainly make an argument for it.

The talent seems to be there. Can he stay on the field. That's his problem.....well that and being a kedbler elf.
Hoping KOC doesn't become pass happy like in the past. Wouldn't mind see some old school football this year. Solid run game, incredible defense, hold on to the ball, field position, K1 legs and sliding safely... Then a complimentary pass game. IMO this is the winning formula this year.
I hope K1 has a great 5 year run here...
For him, fans and franchise.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Much anticipated home opener on deck....the division is going to be very competitive all year long methinks. Carter says some incredibly stupid things most times, lets hope he's right on this.

With above average Special Teams. Especially Reichert due to his range and accuracy.
Don't trade JJ.

That would have been the perfect style of offense for JJ McCarthy last year.
If Kyler is that much better of a passer, we need to take advantage of that. We can run the ball more efficiently with Frank Smith's run designs, but we should be passing more than we run. Look at our WRs compared to our RBs.
Would you rather get the ball to Justin Jefferson, Addison, Jennings, and Hock or pound it with Jordan Mason and 31 year old Aaron Jones? I know which group I would pick and our HC does too.

Give the ball to Bredeson so we can watch him truck some fools...ala Christian Okoye.

I think you take what the defense gives. If they are rolling safeties JJ's way and playing man, you run the rock. Pound them until they adjust and then hit them with JJ and Addison.
Or start the game by pounding until they roll up. Bottom line, a balanced offense is much more difficult to defend. Especially with our D always keeping it tight.
Eh, its easy to say things. I'm ready to see it on the field. I think there's a lot of potential. I just want a good and entertaining season with a promising 2027 future.

Amen.
I'm low level excited, but I won't release the hounds until I see some games played.

Right! I just hope the Oompa Hamster is able to pay me!
Division crown and (at least) one playoff win would be considered successful by most.
Most would probably be ok with a wildcard tix and a wildcard win too, I would be
Its do-able imo if injuries dont de-rail, K1 plays well and the D doesnt regress

Don't really care about winning the division. Its going to be very competitive and I'm OK if we take a chunk of games to find our groove. I think one playoff win is where i draw the line. No playoff wins will be a disappointment.
