The Minnesota Vikings' annual night practice on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at TCO Stadium features special schedules, increased capacity, and distinct rules compared to regular daytime camp sessions.
Experience a night under the lights of TCO Stadium! Enjoy MVC and SKOL Line performances, team autograph football tosses, a girls flag football feature and a preview to the 2026 Vikings team.
Unlike regular daytime practices, the standard player autograph sessions and wristband distributions for kids are not held during the night practice.
Instead of traditional post-practice line autographs, fans in TCO Stadium have a unique chance to catch autographed mini-footballoids tossed out by every position group during team introductions.
This specific night practice session is marked as SOLD OUT on the official schedule page.

Blake Cashman and the Vikings' first-team defense just completely wrecked a drive for the starting offense. Nothing Murray could do. This defense looks as scary as ever with Brian Flores at the controls.

McCarthy and the offense stall out with missed throws to end the situational.

I’ll give the QB win today to McCarthy but neither one of these guys has been consistent enough yet to bring much confidence. Someone will need to start being consistent and soon.

That's a wrap on night practice. Definitely a win for J.J. McCarthy in the QB battle, even if he was a little shakier after a red-hot start. It was encouraging to see him push the ball downfield. Kyler Murray spent more time with the first-team offense but threw two picks.…

A rough practice for the offense tonight. J.J McCarthy had the best couple of throws for the night but neither he nor Kyler Murray were sharp. Two INTs for Murray plus another that likely would have been in 7–on-7. Off day tomorrow, back Tuesday. Details later in our notebook. https://t.co/yKXGCJzyNa

The Vikings just ended their night practice. Not a banner evening for the offense. Kyler Murray threw two INTs in 11-on-11. Interior pressure seemed to be a problem. J.J. McCarthy had some good moments early and late (especially on corner routes) but a bunch of misfires, too.

Thanks for the info, Cricket. Any reason why videos were limited from the crew? From one of your posts, it seems as though security stopped someone from snapping videos...what's that all about?

To help protect the team's competitive advantage and ensure the best experience for all guests, video recording or live streaming of practice is prohibited. Recording activations inside TCO Stadium and/or children's interactions with players during post-practice autograph sessions is allowed. Failure to comply with this policy may result in dismissal from the Minnesota Vikings Training Camp grounds.

Seriously, a Fakebook link?
Darrisaw being out probably hurt the offense quite a bit. Wish Murray would stack some good days and give us confidence.
But nice to see JJ making some good throws.
Vikings night practice recap: J.J. McCarthy is suddenly making things interesting

My full breakdown of everything I saw tonight at TCO, focused on the quarterbacks:https://t.co/R1NGpZIEQU
According to Purple Insider: Kyler got 21 1st team reps to JJ's 9.
Total passing: Kyler 10-14 (9-9 under 10 yards, 1-5 10-19 yards, 0 attempts 20+ yards) 2 INT.
JJ 12-23 (4-7 under 10 yards, 5-12 10-19 yards, 3-4 20+ yards)
JJ started 9-10, then had some wild throws, came back with a couple more nice ones, but after moving a 2-minute drill into the redzone, missed his last 3 throws.
Kyler at least made the layups, but didn't make anything else. Coller called at a C- night for Murray and maybe a C for JJ.
Both QB's taking too many sacks.
Brandel sailed another snap.
My opinion on the QB competition so far is that Kyler raises the Vikings' floor compared to last year, but neither of them has been consistent enough to really raise the ceiling.
