I like a good safety, but I'd rather have great corners. In BFlo's D, a guy like Josh Metellus can thrive.....but optimally you need those corners. He got more length this year, that's what he likes. If I had to guess, I'd say Isaiah Rodgers was a KAM signing, not a Flores signing.

Cashman helps the front 7 and the Hitman helps the back 4 and keeps everyone where they should be. I think Josh M. might be able to take over that role of cerebralness like Harry Smith.

Hell, BFlo needs just avg corners to make it work.

From SI:

One compelling reason to be excited about Rodgers? Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores had major conviction that he was a guy they should bring into their building, Kevin O'Connell said on Tuesday at the annual league meeting in Florida. And Flores is usually pretty accurate when he gets that way about a player, O'Connell added.

"Isaiah was a guy that Flo really identified pretty early," he said. "And historically, I haven't been doing this long with Flo, but when Flo kinda has that tone in his voice about guys — I'm not gonna mention the other ones that he has had that in his voice about — but he's been pretty darn accurate. And that guy, whether playing for us or somebody else, has immediately shown up. So no pressure on Isaiah, but he definitely got that evaluation from Flo."

"The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it”

Than I'd say he's mis-identified him so far. But you can't argue with results. The D overall very, very good last year.

So for conversation sake, who's been the average corners?

I look at the 25 db room as average on a good day with no real studs in there...

  • Byron Murphy Jr. (Starter)

  • Isaiah Rodgers (Starter)

  • Mekhi Blackmon

  • Jeff Okudah

  • Dwight McGlothern

  • Ambry Thomas

7 - Antoine Winfield Jr. That RS signed Senior and passed on Junior was stunning to me. The draft is an inexact science, I get it.. Probably the most important characteristic is that a prospect will apply themselves. And put in the effort

Being from Minneapolis and with his DNA Winfield jr would've done that

like Ponder, I had that funny sinking feeling that taking Gladney was a mistake and I'd be watching Winfield jr kill it for 10 years....
