So how we feeling about big Will Fries?
Its going to be interesting.....I'm a proponent of the thought he's going to have a NICE sophomore season in Minnesota. Some fans forget he was coming back from an injury and it took him a bit to actually practice in purple. I think with Frank Smith on board and him being completely comfortable and healthy now, I think he's going to pop. This scheme now really suits him....remember, this is a big boy now we are talking 'bout.....I think MB doesn't like him and gave some insight on that....made some sense, hope he rocks it however.

He had zero going for him last year...Zilch!
He wasn't 100% in OTA's or TC due to leg injury.. Learning a new team and system that's a tough .
Then Kelly, the guy he'd played next to for 4 years misses 9 games , starting week 3. And Oneill misses 3 games. He was playing from behind all season.
He played next to 3 different centers last year. Brutal
Fries did play every snap, there's a win in doing that.
Add Smith and Fries Jackson, Brandel, all for different reasons , will all be significantly improved this year.IMO

And what sucks the most is we were all pretty damn stoked over Fries, Kelly, Hargrave and Allen.....sigh.
One of the few times most of us were singing from the same hymnal...Build-up the lines and give the rook QB a better surround.
I was very wrong heading into 25.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Well you have to factor all the injuries in. I mean what seems to get lost on this board is that the team won 9 games with a horribly injured team limping along week to week and 3 different QBs playing....and as noted, JJ looked horrid at times. That says good coaching to me. But is also shows a resilience for the players to grind out what was almost a playoff year. And JMO, but predicting like 13 or 14 wins in this division is HIGHLY unlikely for Minnesota....and any other NFCN team really. These teams are going to beat on each other and the grouping will be close again from top to bottom when its all said and done. I really mean it when I say throw a dart and that's who might win the NFCN. Every year is a different animal, you can't plug and play stats and expect results to be infinitely higher. Despite our back and forths on the board, we all know and recognize we need better QB play this year from QB1: whether thats a K1 who goes en fuego or an improved JJM. Nobody disputes that and its why K1 is here competing.
Jon Allen just grifted the organization for a big contract, that was disgusting. Thanks KAM.

The two go hand and hand right?
I recall being somewhat shocked and amused KOC was able to keep those guys engaged when they were staring down what 4/8 or something like that?
Hell, us fans were dreaming top 7 draft pick at that point. I sure as hell was.
Then they rattled off 5 wins in a row was it? No denying how impressive that was from a coaching/leadership standpoint. Albeit not very rewarding for me the fan.

The players never mailed it in. They gave good effort despite all the problems. This team has heart.
