Expect to see more of this unfortunately....
We are creating a generation of young men who are gambling addicts. Its too easy, too normalized, 'everyone' does it....and it'll devastate futures and lives. Right on your phone in an app. You can't get away from gambling advertising, its everywhere. Its big money ad revenue for all sports leagues.
Sources: Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction. He’s under NCAA investigation in the wake of the discovery of Sorsby making thousands of bets via a gambling app. https://t.co/O7gNSqDaKE

Soon, this thing is gonna blow up.
You will have a few players because gambling is legal now, that will either throw games because they want their bets to hit or throw them because they are in major debts with gambling. The opportunity is there and its probably happened more that would make fans comfortable knowing.

lol, exactly.....its science.
Yep. It's huge and its becoming a big problem among Gen Z. I always bet a Vikings future and then one game a year, but only when they’re underdogs. No desire to do anything more than that.
My son and his Gen Z friends are big into prop betting. That’s what I don’t understand. There’s no personal stake, no real interest in whether the WR3 on the Saints gets 40 yards or not. I mean who cares? What fact or nugget of information is behind the bet you just made? And if nothing, why bet on it? It’s just betting for the sake of betting.

since the govt all sued big tobacco for targeted marketing at minors, I wonder when they will do the same for the gambling industry... or the vape industry, or the energy drink people... and so on?
I see it with youngsters around my area, they are driving over to MN to hit the indian casinos because they dont serve booze so they can play as soon as they are 18, large groups of kids, some even still in HS, going over to play card games. its good to see kids out and doing social things ( getting more and more rare) but i dont think addictions to gambling have our futures in the best hands.

Nothing worse than the liquor industry for targeting minors. As the father of two kids who just went through the teen party scene, I can report that the most popular drinks among that crowd have flavors like Cotton Candy, Kissed Caramel and Cosmic Snowcone.

I'm glad my kids are in their 40's and I don't have to go through this crap...Although, my oldest grandson is 23 but hasn't picked up and of these habits.

to hell with the kids... has anybody had apple crown and sprite? fuck, that is marketing at every fat ex tobacco use that tried to use jolly ranchers in place of their marlboros or copenhagen... I am talking about seriously dangerous stuff right there.
but seriously, between the sin companies targeting the youth and the weak, and the drug companies preying on everyone else.... I have to nominate the DVR fast forward 30 second button as the greatest invention in modern times.
