Vikings sign Kyler Murray
#1
The Vikings are signing QB Kyler Murray to a one-year deal with a no-tag clause, per sources. -Alec Lewis, The Athletic

Two-time Pro Bowl QB Kyler Murray has signed a one-year contract with the Vikings, his agent @ErikBurkhardt tells me and @RapSheet.

The deal includes a no-tag clause. Murray will make $36.8 million this season, with Arizona paying all but the minimum salary.

And just like that we are contenders in the NFC.

Murray is a top 15 QB if healthy, JJ gets his reset year and hopefully fulfills his promise. LFG

Ugh.  Not thrilled, but my phone didn't ring and they never asked me my opinion, so here we go I guess.

McCarthy, step it up kid.  The fire is lit!

That's exactly how to view this. And judging from the reaction on Twitter, Packer, Bear and Lion fans are a bit worried, as they should be.

Twitter is filled with idiots lol

I'm fine with brining in Kyler on the cheap to see what happens.  But this could easily be a Russell Wilson situation where he's just not good anymore.

Hopefully JJ McCarthy comes out firing this off-season.

He takes any snaps in Purple, I'll cheer for him. It'll be a fuqton easier than cheering for either McMahon or Favre.

I still think our existing kid will have the better career. He's already tied Murray for number of winning seasons.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Oh no doubt about THAT.  But I do know how to discern the informed from the morons. Mr Gainz, I love ya man, but your Wilson comparison doesn't hold water. Wilson was, what, 35 at the time? Murray is 28.

It will be a true competition. It was made clear. If it is a true competition, JJM will beat him out. History proves that.

Kyler's had 1 winning season, Wilson did better than that.

Yes, the teams are absolutely prime considerations, but...yeah, I wanna see how they look in camp/preseason.
