Sure Trump is a media master...I also think much of what is said, implied, tweeted etc. comes from a place of someone who's values and view of humanity and our country as stewards of much - doesn't align with my own.

that might be part of the problem in the world. we have to many career politicians because they say the right things more than those who do the right things. I am not saying Trump is without fault, but I have been saying for years that this country needs more real businessmen at the helm and less politicians.

I think Trump cares about achieving his goals much more than
he does about sounding good. I think he
very clearly has shown that he’ll make himself look worse in the effort to
achieve his goals whatever they may be.
I think the media has shown itself to care more about soundbites and
tweets than actual policy. They’re so
easy to distract if you just say something dumb or controversial.
I think what we really need is for our journalists and
influencers to stop getting bogged down with what politicians say and focus on what
they do. I think for decades we’ve had puppet
media that shilled for a puppet government, and everything sounded good, but
policy wise no one was really representing us.
Now we got someone that isn’t part of the globalist team (or appears to
be in conflict with them), and they can’t talk policy, because it would just
highlight how bad they were this whole time, so they can only talk appearances
and try to destroy everyone’s character. In the long run, we’ll need to switch over to
authentic media outlets that will represent our actual interests, and by
covering actual policies, rather than trying to tell us whatever story they
want us to believe.
I think it's less about businessmen vs politician, as it is about removing these fake puppet politicians and the structures that force new politicians down that path of being easily controlled and bribed\lobbied\etc.
After hearing the inevitable "racist" accusation following Emperor Cheeto's tweet...I'm gonna say, on this rare occasion, that the card is being over- and mis-played.
Trumplestilskin didn't mention any race, color, skin pigment level, or favorite Teletubby in his tweet.
Furthermore, Baltimore hasn't had a GOP mayor for about 50 years, but has run itself into the ground as one of our most crime-riddled cities like others with long-term DNC rule (see: Chicago, Oakland, etc). For all their blather about fixing the inequities and crime that they take NO responsibility for, that party shows that it shouldn't be allowed to run much of anything for long.
In the interest of fairness, I'd add that letting any party keep taking the top seat(s) in a given city/state/country is borderline suicidal. Looking at any communities that keep cycling the same party hacks through their top offices tends to show attitudes of entitlement far beyond doing any "civic duty".

In some districts, the Democrat (basically) runs unopposed, because there is no way in hell that a Republican is getting elected in those districts. And it just so happens that those districts ARE crime infested rat-holes. And the taxes to live there are unbelievably high (especially when you consider the quality of life in those areas: run-down buildings, high crime, etc). That's why the city wanted to tax people just for the right to work in the city: because so many folks (like me) commuted from outside of the county... and- in many cases- from outside of the state (about a 45-60 minute drive from PA).
