Vikings never in on Flacco?
#1
Anyone else looking forward to April 29th?

Hmmmm.

I feel like they'll get our QB2 right after the draft for compensation timing...that's a popular theory, anyway...but, as Flacco looked like a logical option, I'm increasingly curious as to what's ahead...
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

They have a plan, I'm thinking they have a guy or 2 they are willing to trade for, but funny how some of the QBs available are floating the Vikings as a landing spot to increase their value

I still contend Will Levis and Anthony Richardson could be in play for us via trade. Otherwise someone like Flacco would have made all the sense in the world. I don't think anybody is real excited about the Tannehill possibility and the free agency cupboard is bare at this point.

I'm sticking with my original thought Ryan Tannehill.

According to KSTP's Darren Wolfson, the Vikings weren't in on either player.

"They were not in on Drew Lock, they were not in on Joe Flacco," Wolfson said on SKOR North. "In fact, Joe Flacco's representation was trying to get Joe here. He thought it was a very logical fit. He loved the idea, Joe's representation, of Joe being here. But the Vikings never took the bait. The Vikings never made an offer in the end."

They obviously have a target and we'll find out what that is either during the Draft (trading for QB2) or on April 29th. Everyone wants to come to Minnesota! Wink

Wouldn’t he be in the fold by now? Unless he’d apply to the comp pick formula?

Good question. I thought somehow it does impact the comp formula, but that's seems odd that it would now that we talk about it out loud. Hmmm.

He should be a street FA. Wouldn't be any different than Hargrave or Allen.
