All of these players are on the board

It's probably Emmanwori, followed by Nolan and Harmon on defense.

If we're looking to improve our offense around JJ, then Hampton would make sense or one of those OGs.

Maybe Kwesi takes one and then immediately trades our first next year for another 2nd round pick and we double up?

I agree that Emmanwori might have the highest upside. But there's a little bust factor there as well. Considering that about half of the guys we're talking about won't get 2nd contracts, I sometimes think it might be best to not take the BPA, but the SPA (safest player available). Everyone probably has a different idea of who that is, but I think for me it would be Starks, Harmon, Zabel or Jackson.

As much as I'd love a lineman on either side of the ball, Treyveon Henderson is just so damn intriguing there especially when you consider the fit in this offense and he'd give us a dynamic we don't have as a home run hitter out of the backfield. Imagine being a defensive coordinator having to account for our weapons in the passing game, but also now having to worry about Henderson finding a crease and taking it 80 on you or catching a screen with blockers in front of him. There might not be a better fit or player the Vikings could draft at 24.

BPA at 24? Probably
Have most impact in 24? Probably
SPA at 24? Probably

Biggest position of need? No, but neither was Moss

TH has OROY upside in this offense and surround. Its hard to get that kinda playmaker so late in Rd 1

if all those are still on the board, I am taking phone calls.  somebody will be wanting to jump up and get in on that,  not so far down that we fall out of that talent range,  but if we can add another day 2 pick,  that would help a lot.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Easy, Grant. The pick would be turned in about 10 seconds after we are on the clock.

I like Emmanwori, because we're living on borrowed time with Dirty Harry.
But this poses an interesting question...there are a LOT of really good options in the 20's.
I also like Zabel at G, and at DT...Grant, Nolan, Harmon...while I LOVE our IDL signings, look at the age and injury history of both signing of Allen and Hargrave.

Do you draft for immediate need or future talent banking?
I'd love to have that job...I'd hate to have that responsibility.

Probably Emmanwori would be my pick. Hitman's eventual replacement

Starks or Emmanwori. Harry is at the end and I don't trust Jackson yet. Competition for him and eventual Harry replacement.

So, if only one player and we stay at 24. Try and trade down even a few spots and take Donovan Jackson. I am just absolutely on board with this kid. Can play LT if Darrisaw isn't ready. Can play G at a very high level. Also, you have a player that can take over for Darrisaw if we choose not to resign him later on. I personally think he is just a no brainer for the Vikings.
