Cousins is not the answer

Thielen post game:  you have to be able to hit receivers.  you have to be able to throw the deep ball.
lockerroom trouble brewing.

I am sure the receivers are extremely frustrated, especially Thielen.  He has been totally under utilized so far this season, inexcusably so.

Yeah! But but... the same receivers were raving during training camp and preseason how the new offense was "lit" and they were giving the defense feats.
So was it the defences that was slow or were they just doing lip service?

Wonder if the coaching staff, or the gameplan, hits a wall trying to get through to Cousins weekly...

I cant imagine he'll be benched over bad performances. But sometimes its not hard to picture his body language and demeanor going so south midgame that it becomes embarrassing to keep him out there. I feel like he's "right there" sometimes...

I'm torn.

Cousins played like crap but so did practically everyone on offense besides Dalvin. So I'm not putting this entire loss on Kirk.
That said, I definitely think we need to draft a QB this year. And it's very much up for debate whether you want the current regime making that selection. I want to see more this season before I slam the "fire everyone" button, but man losing all these big games is getting old.
^^^

This...Well said!!!

Only thing I'll add is I am really beginning to doubt this team in general in big games under Zimmer...I like Mike too, so it's doubly painful for me as a fan.

Diggs as well...

I'l bet if we looked at their WR standings season-to-date we'd be none-to-happy.

Cousins is one problem.  The OL was just as bad or worse.  Draft a QB early in 2020, and try for LT too so our next appointed savior doesn't get pounded into jelly.

Clean pocket, no hitting the QB in training camp.

This. I think Kirk can be a really good QB, it’s just that he seems to fold under even the slightest bit of pressure.  It really sucks that we are stuck with him for another year and once again, the QB cupboard behind him is completely bare.
