Kirko to back-up Love?

I was way off LOLLLL. And again it's the Raiders. Incredible work by Kirk and his agent. $20M this year to maybe be a backup. Last year too, really. Absolutely peak.

Now we know what it would've cost to bring in Cousins as the competition QB. $20M guaranteed. Murray cost us $1.3M.

That's not QB2 money, that's starter money for 7-9 games and then enter Mendoza. Good plan for Vegas. This also isn't a 'competition', this is providing a soft entry for Mendoza. I bet they give Fernando more than 10 starts to prove himself as a Raider.

One of the many reasons why the Vikes were smart to avoid this guy like the plague in 2026.

Not once in history has the, HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT meme applied more than to Mr. Cousins Tongue

I was referring to what he would've been in Minnesota, not Vegas.

you got to think in hindsight that he would have signed a smaller/shorter deal to stay in minny and mentor JJM dont you?
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I try to read most every thread posted on this site, In the last 2 years I can't say I've seen 1 person say they miss Cousins.....

it seems like Viking Fans know Cousins game and his limits and no one misses him.

The anger over that was, and is, bizarre to me. The frustration I get, but with the defender a nanosecond from mauling him...right there on replay...I don't get some people.

Kirk actually talked about that, he wanted that 3rd down throw back, he said if he leads Wright just a bit, it would have been a completion rather than a PBU.

And that game was all on Donatell and his non-existent D.

I've been very clear, repeatedly, that I thought he did a helluva job behind tragic protection, and also with a head coach the first few years that was a hateful, petulant little b***h.

I miss him, and continue to wish him well (when he's not playing us).

He threw the balls that got JJ most of his legendary status...and also was huge for the careers of Thielen, Rudolph, Addison, Hock, etc.

He wasn't perfect, dunno what that'd even look like...but, he did a ton for the Vikings while his protection was rated among the worst, as was the defense for 3 straight seasons.

He definitely couldn't see anything to his left but oncoming pain.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Kirko (rightly or wrongly) will forever be labeled by Viking fans as $ hungry and selfish about it above all else...He never shook that label.

I didnt buy into it too much until maybe the last contract where he had an optty to help the team with guaranteed $ and choose not to.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
