This has to be the first time that a team has had two QBs who grew up a fan of that team.

While everyone wrings their hands over the Vikings trading JJM due to the Wentz signing, I'd gently point out that the Vikings have started 3+ QBs in one season twice in the last 3 years.
Not opinion, recent (brutal) history. Granted, I'm still very much in JJM's camp and think that 90% of the speculation flying around is due to pundits and panic rather real information. To me, if KOC tries to move McCarthy, he's admitting, right out loud, that he's no "QB Whisperer"...he's just got a system that rewards veteran QBs with gas left in the tank. If that's the case, KOC's ceiling looks to be nailed to the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, and that Flores is our likely head coach in 2027.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

I mean, the kid played before he was ready, and some of that is on KOC. His play was mostly poor, but there were enough flashes in a very limited sampling that would scream "give him some time" -- which is exactly what KOC has preached about young QBs. So if JJ were traded now, to me that means there is something else at issue here. I can only speculate, but maybe something to do with JJ's rehab? Stubbornness to correct mechanics? Something else entirely? Agree. That's the point I've been trying to make. If it happens, I don't think it's about a disbelief in JJ's tools or future potential. It's about something that may or may not have developed between coach and QB.

JJ is just a young QB that really hasn’t had enough reps. All the theories are dramatic and can be a good source of entertainment though I get it.

I've been a huge O'Connell fan since Day 1 and will remain one until I have concrete evidence otherwise. As of now all I have to go by is the giant and growing pit in my stomach lol. So I'll wait.
Honestly if we even get a serious trade offer from the Rams or Chargers (especially) or Eagles or Niners of the world, that alone should be a blaring red STOP SIGN that this is a player you DON'T TRADE AFTER 10 STARTS. Surely the Vikings aren't that dumb... right? Last note- Do we know where Wentz is with his shoulder? If he's gonna miss half the year I can see where locking in a deal with MN, even at QB3, might make sense to him.

JJ still has starter potential. Wentz is a good signing and QB 1,2, and 3 will be sorted out in training camp.

At least the Vikings now have a stable of quarterbacks in the room. Hopefully, they won't have to use all of them. But this will avoid any serious drop-off at the position...
I'll predict:
Murray qb1 Wentz qb2 Max Gopher qb3 JJM traded or released Heck I already predicted this weeks ago if they signed Wentz and that just happened.
