Well, at least its interesting to me. Watching CBB conference games yesterday afternoon and doing a bit of a dive on Murray. His dynamic aspect comes from his mobility, scrambling and then some hero ball off of that mobility: but the actual passing for the most part is mostly efficient and workmanlike. I see why his completion percentage is high...he throws a bunch of shorter passes. Usually to the TE on screens/underneath dumps or RBs....mid-range passes to crossing WRers in the middle. Its not at all unusual for him to have a stat like 11/15 for like 68 yards to start games. If you want a dude that is throwing 20-25 yard strikes consistently to WRers down the field, that really isn't his game. Not saying he doesn't do it occasionally, all QBs do, but the offense with Arizona wasn't set up that way. He's more meat and potatoes than most fans would guess considering his highlights show off the hero ball escapism, which is incredible honestly.
Just my fan layperson observation, take it for what you will, but this is a different kind of QB for KOC. Not saying that's a good or bad thing, I have no idea. I'm not going to shit on anything, because I'm curious to see how it all goes down, but I'm not going to overhype it either. Anyway, it was interesting to do a deeper dive.

But is this more about the offense he was playing in or Kyler Murray's personal tendencies? I think the QB we see in Minnesota will be a slightly different version of the Murray we're used to seeing. It's not going to be the Greatest Show on Turf, but it's not going to be Air Raid either. Because that's the only way this will work: if there's a compromise on both sides and a meeting in the middle. Because that's the concern here. So many talk about his height or his injury history or his video gaming...most of that is overblown. If this doesn't work, it will be about fit.

Thats the first thought that came to my mind from Sticky's post...
What kind of offense will they run here?
Can KM stay healthy?
Can OL stay healthy?
However it unfolds, its probably safe to say Jettas will have more than 2 td's this season

I'll be curious if KOC can make a scheme that works for both JJM and Kyler. With each of their injury histories, you assume they'll probably both be playing for some part of the year.

The prism I'll be putting it through for me is wins and losses. Stats are fine, the offense certainly lacked what they've had historically with yardage, but hopefully the wins come with more offensive production consistently...the 'baseline' that KOC has eluded to with QB play.

Yah of course. And right up there is keeping the big knockers happy, healthy and motivated by hitting their $$ incentives.
Bad QB play (and injuries) cost a lot of players lots of $ last year. If the stories are true, KAM may have lost that locker room insisting a rook QB not ready to start, started...
It's also too bad the offense couldn't carry more of its own water last year, or that one BIG special teams gaffe vs Bears may not have mattered as much as it did.

Having to put a clause in his contract to watch film is overblown?

Fans will decide to either keep pummeling him for that past sin or wait and see if he's matured and improved.
I'm no Murray apologist, but I do believe in 2nd chances.
It's truly a fresh start for him and I hope (for all our sakes) he embraces this with gusto.

As others have said, I'm not too worried about Murrays motivation ... this year.
He's got so much on the line this year. I think he'll be locked in.
