Just a gentle reminder....

Just like the defenders that make the splashy play once in a while but are often out of position and get burned.  You can't depend on them and they aren't a good fit in any pro offense.

Honestly, I'd take Vick or Kaepernick in their prime right now. As competition for JJ? You bet I would. So who's your guy? I mean I hear a lot of "don't want this guy" or "don't want that guy," without offering any alternatives.

Nice thing about Murray is that you can trade for him and you don’t really have to worry too much about if he likes it or not. There's no "I'm supposed to be a starter" type vibes, so I'm not going to sign. Also don’t have to worry too much about competition with JJM. Just play whichever ones healthy enough to start.

Would they really get rid of Murray for a 2nd?  I seem to recall that compensation.

Problem is his contract.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I also heard a 2nd being floated around.  I think they’re pretty done with him in the same way that Miami is done with Tua, so I think the value will be whatever the bidding war entails rather than a situation where they’ll hold onto him if a minimum value isn’t met.

I feel like a 2nd is a bit rich for our situation.  I’m not super excited to bring in a “competition” guy for a 2nd.  It’d be different if you could trust him to be a starter, but he’s missed near half a season 3 of the last 4 seasons, so I already feel a little bad paying him just his contract, much less premium picks.  I could see some other team bring him in as a true bridge guy and feel like spending a 2nd wasn’t as bad for them.

I wouldn't hitch my team to an athlete that poses as a QB.  How many rings did Brady win versus those 2?  Or Cam Newton?

Give me a guy that can run an offense, read the D and if need be, make something happen with his feet.  I don't know the available options good enough to have an alternative.  Willis seemed to acquit himself well in GB, but is he a QB or an athlete.  Kinda small, reminds me of Russel Wilson.  Needs to get out of the pocket to make many of his throws.

My guy is JJ.  I think he showed up at the end of the year.  Bring back wentz for the whole offseason if he is willing.  Dunno, but I want to run it forward with JJ.

I think this is one where interested teams will have to watch the tea leaves. I think there's a small chance they just release him if they can't find a buyer. Just depends on whether the new regime in AZ is absolutely committed to starting over at QB or is perfectly fine keeping him as their starter if their price isn't met. I don't see much in between.

Isn’t the general consensus that the Cardinals were one of the worst destinations for HC’s because of Kyler and how big his contract is and how much of a hit it will be to reset?

Yup. There's also been concerns forever about his commitment level. Hard pass on Kyler for me. I think I'd rather have Rodgers than trade for Murray. I know I'd rather have Winston or Wentz.
