It would fit with the brand personna....Dont know all the details, but that would surely reflect poorly on mgmnt and ownership if that were about to happen.

High level coordinators don't typically refuse to re-up with teams. It's not like that blocks them from taking HC jobs. But Flores clearly planned this, he can land a DC job if a HC job doesn't materialize. Which suggests he wants out, which in turn would be a pretty bad look for this org.

I don't really think he wants out. I think he just gets to get paid more if multiple teams are competing to sign him.

Dart, Nabers, Skattebo, Tracy, and a bevvy of pass rushers with Dexter Lawrence? I think it was about the defense having more pieces and Dart looking better than Penix if you're starting over with a young QB.

Agree. He gets to go to a team with an unusual amount of talent for a team with only 4 wins. He has a good offensive line, one of the best front sevens in football, and he gets Skattebo and Nabers back. It would not be surprising at all if he's able to flip that record in one season and get a lot of the credit for it.

Since 2020, NFL teams have hired new head coaches 41 times. Think about how high that number is considering there are 32 teams.

Anyway, 25 of those new coaches were then fired.
