Bounce-Back Season?

I think he is good when the offense is perfect.  Make him adjust and improvise, read a D, I think that is where he struggles.

Any QB gets very "mortal" when the defense disrupts their backfield and timing. The Saints had Brady's and Rodgers' numbers for a season or two, even if they didn't make any postseason waves. In fact, A-a-ron looks VERY average when he doesn't regularly have 6-8 seconds in the pocket like he enjoyed with the pukers.

We were able to disrupt Goff, but Detroit's defense had Darnold down cold. New year, new protections, new young QB....
It's almost time for the wondering to stop and the games to be played...SKOL VIKINGS!!!

I don't just mean pressure.  Goff needs WRs to be exactly where he practiced.  Early on McVay read the D for him and when teams started figuring that out, he struggled.  I remember a breakdown of when Chicago's D took away his deep routes and he couldn't adjust.  This quote from TJ sez something.

It will be interesting if the new OC tries to fit Goff into his offense or if he builds it to Goff specifications.

I know I've mentioned this before but, If you get a good hard hit on Rodgers early in a game he is never the same in that game. Goff is the same way. Need to lay a wallop on him early. That hasn't been easy to do recently. I think that will change this year.
