Terrible trade comp, Kwesi blinked hard.
On paper it's not bad, but the conditions could make this worse than it looks. He just has to be active? That's seems like a pretty low bar.

Annnnnnd I’m shocked.

Yah, between TJH, JJ, AT and JA? Thats a pretty good set of targets...
Not to mention both starting RB's can catch the rock too.

Where did you hear that? I haven't heard that. That would be a little more discouraging.

Feels like a big overpay unless more info comes out. Carolina’s offense was much improved the back half of the year last year, I think they might surprise people with their competence this season. To automatically say they’ll stink in the 2027 draft is premium cope. Two years is forever in the NFL.
I’m glad Adam is back because I’ve been a big Speedy detractor. That’s a big positional upgrade IMO, even at Thielen’s old age.
It’s just a shame we paid so much. KJ Osborne got cut yesterday, along with many other capable players. But the team fell in love with Thielen and overpaid. Hopefully this is one of those deals where we wade through some muck but wind up smelling like roses.

From a little birdie...
I mean it's an overpay if that is the actual conditions on the 7th and 5th. But I'm glad Thielen will be here to finish his career and give JJ McCarthy another reliable target to start the year when we don't have Addison (and potentially Nailor).
Story feels good, trade comp sucked... but whatever, Kwesi's drafting has largely sucked outside of the first round so at least we used some picks to get someone that will help us win short term. We'll pay the piper eventually when we don't have cheap talent/role players on rookie contracts, but for now it feels good for this year.

I think some of yall were in love with Lucky Jackson or something. Our WR room is bare for the first 3 games and nothing guarentees we don't have an injury pop up. While an overpay we got a guy who catches everything thrown in his general direction who knows the offense. Adam was the trade we needed to make.
Now lets go figure something out at CB because we're still in trouble there.

Given Kewsi’s picks….does it really matter? We still get the same number of picks. Those day 3 picks are a gamble at best. Not to mention, we seem to do better on UDFAs anyway.
The picks in 27 may not matter. Kwesi may not be here then!
