Im hoping for less thrill and just boring old make everything automatic Will. Our kicking game doesn't need to be a trip to an amusement park.

Seemed like he had a mini rough patch in training camp, but he's been perfect in preseason.

Honestly, I think there's maybe 2 or 3 kickers that are automatic in the NFL, the rest vary. Moving back the extra point attempt yardline messed with all of their heads. I noticed on Will's 54 yarder he just hit it nice and easy, didn't blast it. Maybe he's just using the necessary amount of leg now per attempt for accuracy.

I got faith...

Hopefully the challenges of last year make him stronger in the head moving forward.

Lets see what he does under pressure. Game on the line and the other team calls a timeout to ice him. Still think they are going to miss Parker Romo.

He seems vulnerable to having those patches. The key for him will be to just not miss. Because missing seems to lead to more missing.

Yep, he seems to take those bad kicks and compound them.  maybe he needs to hang out with the QBs,  they dont have the luxury of dwelling on their misses.

Its a tough gig. Only good as your last kick or conversely as bad as your last. Not sure any Viking's fan can say with a straight face that they don't grip a bit for each kick a Viking kicker attempts.

I kicked a little in HS,  I understand the frustrations of doing everything you can to get your mind focused,  your setup right,  and then one little thing goes a little sideways and you are the scape goat.  I am likely still the only person that doesnt hate on Walsh for missing that frozen FG at the bank against the squawks.  Its an easy physical job, but the mental angle is as hard as the PGA,  maybe harder if you think about 1 kick can ruin a career,  at least in golf you have 2 or 3 more shots and more often than not more holes to go to right the ship.  Kickers only get a few shots a week to salvage their reputation.
