Does The NFCC Game Decide Our Next HC?
#31
Just that Harbaugh and Adofo-Mensah chatted on Saturday. Wasn't a formal interview and a formal interview has not (yet) been scheduled. For now, the Vikings' search is focused on Kevin O'Connell, Raheem Morris, and DeMeco Ryans.

Although my first choice was Dabol, I really like these three as finalists.

Keep forgetting about Morris. He wouldn't be on my list though. He's already been given the chance at HC and failed. To me it's a two-man race between O'Connell and Ryans. IMO Ryans gained a little on KOC on Sunday.

I read that Jeremy Fowler said the Vikes were encouraged with there initial conversation with Harbough and he is their plan A (I'm paraphrasing).

I doubt they have a plan A. But I'm sure Harbaugh is still a possibility.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Jim Harbaugh has "legitimate interest" in the Vikings head coaching job.

Fowler said Vikings management came away from their recent interview with Harbaugh feeling he "is ready for a return to the NFL." New Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has aggressively pursued interviews with a range of head coaching candidates, including Harbaugh, 58, who hasn't coached in the NFL since 2014. The job would seemingly be his if he wants it.

Jim Harbaugh conveyed legitimate interest in the Vikings' head-coaching job during his interview with the team, per source, with Minnesota coming away feeling Harbaugh is ready for a return to the NFL. As of now, he's still considered in the mix for that job.

Except it wasn't an interview.

At this point, with the coaches interviewed, I am pulling for O'Connell.

Harbaugh is my least favorite.

The Vikings' interviews with Rams coordinators Kevin O'Connell and Raheem Morris will take place tonight in Los Angeles, per source. Team wasting little time. And San Francisco is close by, so team could swing over to speak with 49ers DC DeMeco Ryans in short order, too.
