We've all acknowledged Kwesi is better when dealing with known quantities like free agency or trades, it's the unknown quantities like the draft where he has struggled. GM's make their bread in the draft and finding those sleeper players in the mid to late rounds. My 86-year old aunt Mary in Iowa could sign known players in free agency. I want a GM that can find me Puka Nacua in the 5th round. 

You know that's mostly luck, right? As Belichick once said, anything past the 4th round, you're just guessing. Bill was not very good at the draft, but I think he was right about that. 

Nacua was taken with the last pick in the 5th round, the Rams' 4th pick in that round. None of the players they took before Nacua in the 5th round has done anything. If they really believed in Nacua, and had to have him, wouldn't they have at least taken him with one of those earlier picks in the 5th round? No, that was a shot in the dark and they got lucky. Like the Vikings did with Diggs and the Chiefs did with Tyreek Hill.

Sure there's some element of luck, but it's also efficient scouting and seeing something in a player others don't enough to draft them. Why are some teams (like the Rams) better at that than other teams? It's because they have a good GM and scouting staff that knows what the hell they are doing. You have to be able to land contributing players after day two (maybe unearth a hidden gem once in a while) because that's how good teams are built. You cannot continue to strikeout like we have done.
