Taking a CB at 11 would physically hurt. I know you can make a BPA argument for a corner, but they've kicked the can down the road as far as they can at QB and they have neglected DL and edge for a long time in part because they've burned so many picks on corners. I'd rather invest higher picks in the front 7 and if they really need a corner, then wait until the 3rd. Even in a scenario where they keep Cousins and Hunter, my first choice would still be to take a QB. They've kicked the can down the road so far at QB, that it's getting ridiculous. Don't forget that Wonnum is likely a FA, so the shelves could be bare at edge and at that point a great CB prospect won't matter without a pass rush.
If the draft plays out like that the Vikes will have multiple offers to trade down. Team will want to trade up for Fashanu or to draft their top CB.

I think EDGE or CB are more likely that D-line. Just my take on how Flores has built his defenses historically.
I'd take a reciever before I took another cornerback, but EDGE make sense with so much uncertainty heading into the offseason. I still feel our talent along the defensive line is underwhelming and we could use a difference maker up front.
Lol, this from the guy vociferously complaining about roster constuction when the team signed a TE. Now your advocating for 3 first round WR’s, are you serious…? B)

Wow such big words lol. I'm not "advocating" for it, but you could make the argument that receiver would not only be BPA but fills a need if Osborne leaves in free agency and with as many 3 WR sets we run. Also would be huge insurance in case of injury as both JJ and Addison were banged up at different times. The comment was actually that I'd rather take another receiver before I took another cornerback if that was the choice at #11, but why let facts get in the way of a good roast, right Kentis

That is a scary thought. Hopefully no Kwesi bargain discount this time.

Yep, fuck that noise. Identify a player and make a pick that will actually improve the roster.

I am going to be very blunt and don't mean this in a derogatory way, but how is a WR ever more valuable that a #1 CB? Because you can pickup CBs at 7-11 (thank Zimmer), or the Vikings as an organization have taken CBs that haven't worked out so we should give up the endeavor? I just am very much on the complete other side of the spectrum on this one.

What's a number #1 cornerback or a "shut down" cornerback? Those days are gone with the changing of rules and the guys thought to be elite are very few and far between. Look no further than all the draft capital we have spent over the years. Any of those guys ever become #1 corners? Rhodes was upper tier for about two seasons, otherwise they were just a bunch of guys, hence the "7-11" comment. I just don't see corner as an early round need for the Vikings. We have all four of our recent investments under contract and returning next season. Those guys get better with an upgraded front seven.
Again the comment about taking receiver was that I'd rather take a receiver in this draft, of which there are several top prospects, over taking another corberback. Trust me when I say neither are my preference. I'd gladly take a swing at a quarterback or a front seven player on defense. But if BPA at #11 was say, Rome Odunze, or I could take Wiggins...I'm taking Odunze all day long
