its funny because I have heard that as well, and I had attributed the drop in sex to that boomers getting older, but their generation is actually picking up the slack for the kids. 

the med journals all say though that sex is on the decline in the US (I am doing my damnedest to reverse that trend,  but alas I am only 1 man... and married)  anyway the research actually puts a big blame on the HIV drugs,  once homosexuals became less concerned with getting HIV they quit using condoms and consequently the other STDs are no longer protected against.  also the large spike in intravenous drug use and the "lifestyle" that surrounds that shit storm are also blamed as a huge contributor to the epidemic.  They are seeing increases of

What he said about it all put me off 100x more than the act of swinging. I clicked it like, "wow, how?!"

I left like, "oh. sounds like shit good luck dude."

Simply asking your spouse if it's ok for you to sleep with other people isn't quite the same as having your spouse approve it and justify some bullshit rhetoric about it in fear of losing a marriage. I dunno... He says at times that he 'has to be careful about what he says,' yet, i'm supposed to believe this entire article will settle well with her? LOL!

For those of you who don't know this guy, he stars in shows like Silicon Valley (which I love) and was in the new Godzilla movie. I really don't care what people do or what married people agree to do. Its 100% their business. I know people swing. My wife and I have been approached once on this before in the past, which is a hilarious story (for another time). Not our scene at all. But that doesn't mean it can't be a part of other people's scenes. I don't care.

BUT.....how do married people do this and survive? This guy, Tom Middleditch, seems like the last dude in the world that would do this. But if you read the article, he's not only into it, but has strong feelings about it. And it seems his wife didn't find out about this until AFTER they were married. I don't know, the story just struck me as odd in the sense that he's kind of outing this kind of relationship and it doesn't seem like he asked his wife prior. I guess I can't comprehend how I would ever get my mind around doing this. It isn't about finding other people attractive, that happens almost on a daily basis to most people. That is a harmless byproduct of being human. This is much different and I guess why get married in the first place? What is the commitment you are involved in if you aren't being monogamous in a marriage? It seems like you'll hear about these two getting divorced in under a year and a half.

Anyway, I just found this so oddly interesting over coffee this morning because this guy plays SUCH a nerd on Silicon Valley. Don't judge a book, I guess.
